★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a truck online and when I arrived on site 15 minutes later, I was asked for all my information again, including my credit card number.
The woman wasn't wearing a mask and repeatedly stood close to other customers while talking with them about boxes and other moving supplies.
The staff outside were helpful when I walked into the lot and explained that the woman inside gave me no information how to proceed with obtaining my rental. He was also helpful when I returned the truck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This location has mostly excellent staff, but the head office apparently doesn’t pay enough to roadside assistant responders. A piece of equipment broke down in the metro Vancouver area, and the nearest roadside assistance they could find was a small town two hours outside of Vancouver. It took 2 1/2 hours for the individual to arrive, meanwhile the equipment was blocking a bike lane and I was precariously pulled off on the side of the road with my hazards. I couldn’t leave my vehicle idling, because it was a residential area, and it was getting cold out, so I sat there shivering for most of this time. The assistance-responder did an excellent job, and the people at U-Haul who helped get the responder there did a great job. If U-Haul does not compensate responders enough, and they are not willing to show up when they are needed, they are turning their backs on their clients when they are at their most vulnerable. It is not acceptable, and I’m disgusted with U-Haul corporate offices decision.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a call from uhaul with less than 24 hours before our move saying they wont beable to fill our reservation we made 2 months before. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! words cannot describle how let down we were by there customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute trash service, and employees. I went to pickup a trailer at close until the next day. Employee said I can drop it off at 11:30 the next day because that’s when their next reservation was. I asked him if I could drop it off at night curiously and he bewilderedly said yeah it’s an option. Come 7Am the next day I get a call saying I need to drop it by 8Am or I’ll be charged a $200 late fee. I explained the situation, and was told I’m wrong. Either way I dropped the trailer later than the time he told me, as I show to the storefront he gets in my face and tries to muscle on me. You’re an employee working a min wage job, not a gangster. They then charged me the fee on card twice and said it declined. One went through, and I ended up paying cash because they told me neither did. I’ve been charged twice and have had a horrible experience. I’d advise you don’t come to this location because they practice shady business. Would give them 0 stars if I could.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you were like me and read all the reviews of U-Haul locations around Vancouver, your expectations are probably pretty low after seeing all the 1-3 star reviews. I came to this location with the expectation that I will be scammed, mistreated at the front desk, and given a dirty truck (if they can find it), etc. However, I am happy to share that my experience was quite the opposite.
When I arrived at the location, the lady at the front desk, Fernanda, was quick to check me in and provide me with all the details of the rental. She was nice and courteous. The truck was waiting for me outside after the paperwork was signed, and it was clean and spotless inside. The accessories I rented (furniture dolly and furniture pads) were already loaded in the cargo bay. A person on the lot was quick to give me a run down of the controls and off I went.
I wasn't able to return the truck during open hours so I parked the truck on the lot and proceeded to check myself out using their self-checkout tool online. Process took about 5 mins. A helpful off-duty person on the lot directed me to the key drop-off box. Oh, and there is a gas station conveniently located right beside this location for you to top up before the return.
The process was honestly surprisingly stress-free and smooth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience with U-Haul North Vancouver was terrible. These people run a low grade, shoe string business designed to take you for every last penny that they can. When you rent a U-Haul from this location be prepared to be taken. I had to refill their tank beyond what I left their lot with before they would allow me to return the vehicle. I also had to clean the vehicle to a greater degree than when I took it out. There will be no next time for me. If you must rent a vehicle from here taken pictures of everything before and after your rental. Including the gas gauge after 2 minutes of driving. Good luck. Never again will I ever go back to U-Haul.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience! We booked a truck and a storage from them. Took the truck and brought the items to store in the storage that we had booked. They said that the storage was given to someone else because first in first serve! This is despite having the storage booked for us and had given our credit card number. Could somebody explain to us or to them what is the meaning of booking a storage? I had talked to the person who booked the truck and the storage for us so it was confirmed! Also both times we had to wait in the line up for 30 minutes. Horrible horrible service!
