Two Small Men With Big Hearts - Kamloops

Two men arrived at my apt on time. That is the best thing I can say. The reason I am writing this review so long after my move Feb. 28, 2019 is I had the flu. Upon arrival to my two bedroom apt in a three story walk-up (which the owner new about) the complaining started. They did not have enough men to do the job and could not find anyone. My son was there so he agreed to take the job to move me. They hired him on the spot. Before an item was touched I was informed by James that TIPS were not mandatory but appreciated! I told him I would like to tip them but had no extra money. The atmosphere took an immediate change. They saw my drill set and went crazy and took most of my things apart for me to put back together. Heavy dressers, and my headboard??? First trip down Andre broke one of my pictures and blamed me. I also bought him breakfast and was told I did a good job. No thank you? Complaining the whole time about each other we finally got packed and arrived at my new place 5 blocks away. It gets worse! I had 5 large black bags of clothes and asked for them to be put in the spare room. They were. Right on top of and hiding the electric heater??? Someone broke one of my night table legs right off so that was not mentioned and hid behind a stack of boxes??? My new landlady had to ask them twice to be quieter going into the elevator. She was just cranky? She asked me if they were really professional movers. Again before the end of the move I was told that TIPS were not mandatory but appreciated??? They did not seem to know who the boss was. I did not TIP them. My new apt. had not been in use for a while so I had to go around and turn the heaters on. A few minutes later I smelled plastic. That's how I found my clothes! I had to move several items to get to them, that's how I found my broken nightstand! Horrible move!!! Then they ask Craig to go move a bed. He said sure. Another bad experience. They are unsafe and do not have the proper tools or enough staff to do their job properly! NEVER AGAIN!!!

James and his crew were amazing. We had a reputable Kamloops moving company booked to move us from our home of 32 years on June 22, 2018 and they didn’t show up. I tried phoning and messaging them but I couldn’t get a response because it was a Sunday and their phone was turned off. Our son phoned from Nelson to see how our move was going and we told him the mover didn’t show up. He phoned other movers and connected with Two Small Men with Big Hearts. Within 1.5 hours James had put a crew together and arrived at our home with his truck. They were very professional and quickly had our items loaded on the truck. They had two stops, one at the place we were staying and another at a storage facility. All of our furniture was wrapped in plastic and blankets. The cost of this last minute service from them wasn’t any higher than what it would have been with the initial company. It was such a pleasure having James and his crew come to the rescue!

Could not be happier! We were moving from Kamloops to Lake Country. The team had to empty a storage locker in Kamloops, drive to Lake Country and empty the garage in our rental, then drive to the new home and unload. They were here right on time, were very careful (moving blankets and straps in everything), incredibly efficient, polite, professional, presentable, and did it all with smiles on their faces. A huge thank you to Andre, Joe, and Dan. Job very well done!!! Will definitely be recommending 2 Small Men With Big Hearts!!!

I had a very good experience with this company. Ed, the owner, provided the hourly rate and advised of the 30 minute travel time charge and there were no surprises on cost. I needed to pick up from two different homes and unload at a third. David and Nathan, the moving crew, called to let me know they were on their way (and on time) and were careful with my belongings. They both had good attitudes and work ethic. I would definitely use this company again. Cheers boys!

Oh my ! We engaged this local mover to move our furniture and effects from Ashcroft BC to Merritt BC. My wife spent 70 minutes itemizing each room contents. Being used to MANY moves in the Armed Forces, my wife asked the Manager if/when there would be an on-site assessment. The manager stated that it was not required. Well ..... on Moving Day, the truck showed up - a visibly SMALL one for the task - with a crew of three. I signed the paperwork and they got to work. Seven hours later, the Lead Hand asked me what I could leave behind. ( They had ran out of room on the truck !! I still had two rooms of furniture to load !! ). I informed the Lead Hand that we had a deal closure the next morning, and that all effects had to be removed. He then dithered about not being able to contact the boss etc. I told him it was HIS problem to sort out. He then left our location, drove to Kamloops, and obtained a second moving van. The five-hour loading job turned into a gruelling eleven hours !! ( WAIT - THERE'S MORE .... ). The next day, the TWO Vans showed up at our new house. The Lead Hand ran up to me, with his cell phone in his ear, saying that the Boss ( LIVE ) wanted an additional 650.00 before they would unload !! I said, ""Pardon" ?? He said that we had under-declared our total load. ( WHY would we do that ? Further, as veterans of 17 moves across the country with the Army, we KNOW the drill !! ). The Manager demanded an additional 650.00 "or our furniture would be impounded". My wife, who took the call, reluctantly gave him 300.00, which was accepted. Thereupon, our furniture was unloaded. We conbacted the Manager. He was relentless. We them contacted the BC Better Business Bureau and submitted a formal complaint. We included the original Invoice ( as agreed upon by us and the Mover ). After due process with the Better Business Bureau, the Mover Manager ( while admitting NO fault ) agreed to reimburse the extorted 300.00. After almost 6 weeks, we had heard NO response. We contacted the BBB for resolution. The BBB has stated that the matter is closed. Summary: BBB did what they had to do - twice ! "Two Small Men With Big Hearts" Kamloops .... JUNK !!

We had 3 amazing movers today!! I recently had surgery so lifting was not in the cards for us, David, Donnie and Malakai were awesome. We moved from an apartment to a 3 story townhouse, and had to empty our Storage locker as well., Everything was put where I needed it, they were super friendly and worked hard. Great price as well we will definitely use them again, thanks for making our move a great one!!

James was great to deal with. They shows up on time and on budget. I had a small.issue with e transfer but ed and I worked it out. I recommend the company

At first l thought my experience was delightful.. in till it was time too get my belongings from storage.. they placed heavey boxes on light ones and boxes where opened . All my dishes where broken .. acorn chair lift smashed... l can't number how many boxes went missing. Stuff l can never replace.. 5 months later still telling my husband.. l don't have this or l don't have that.. it s very heart breaking.. Quite a few times l have call the company and owner he said he would call me back.. but he never did.. my husband called they never called back. Went signing a contract you have only two month too claim...And Ed will not call you back. I gave all the movers tips and gifts.. kamloops office. PLEASE BEWARE
