Best Used clothing store in Canada

H	Hipster Cat on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff: from the greeter, fitting room and sales staff. The store is large, well stocked, well organized, bright and clean. There is a lot of quality used items to look through. I especially liked their jeans section with had Citizens, Paige, J Brand and Denim Supply. If you like mid-priced brands from Aritzia, Banana Republic, Club Monaco you'll find quite a a variety.

K	Kristine Lungren on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I enjoy the selections as a shopper at Turnabout, but I didn’t enjoy my experience as much as a consignor. We brought in a variety of things and they took a nice suit my husband barely wore and a dress shirt (or so my husband was told, I went off to do another errand) and received $65 which was disappointing. I took a look at what I had left at home and a dress (new, never worn) was missing so I called the store to check and they informed me that they took the dress as well. I double checked with my husband and he confirmed they only informed him about the suit and dress shirt. It might be a miscommunication but I felt like we were gypped and given a low ball price, and we would’ve gotten more in other avenues. I don’t think I’ll consign again… left a bad taste in my mouth. A tip for anyone who does, make sure you take inventory and ask how they determined the price for your things. Turnabout seems to offer the lowest percentage, too so I would look elsewhere.

The prices are around 1/3 or 1/4 of the original price tag and the itens are in really well shape, many of them looks like brand new. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This location has a convenient free parking lot on the mall.

I like the fact they have really nice clothes compared to other thrift stores in the area. But to be honest. It’s too pricey to buy a used item. The inicial idea of buying used in order to reduce the waste has disappeared. Now you can buy a more expensive pair of jeans in this store than in the actual store for new.. Levis for example.

I have an account with them too and love using the cashback whenever I go up to buy something. This Main Street is the best and has revolutionized the way I shop in that I no longer see the purpose of buying anything new anymore. I find the best brands and highest quality items for what they should actually cost, approx 25-40% of what you’d pay for them new. I no longer wish to contribute to society’s consumer culture when we have a surplus of products manufactured by the third world for pennies. The same products that retail for $265 are originally bought from the vendor who get their cost, can then be resold supporting a small consignment business to a customer who isn’t feeding into the consumer machine. It’s brilliant!
