Campground roads not well marked. Open drinking around all kids, kids running i to the road with next to no supervision. Music blaring after lights out. Put onto a camping area with 3 smelly old abandoned trailers. I would say if your visiting someone, might be OK for a few hours, overnight or longer probably not.

We had a lot of fun here. Disliked moving sites ( preferred the first site) however staff and other campers were all friendly and helpful. ( first pics are first site, second are where we were moved to. In between several trailers) Also, beautiful Sunsets! Fyi bring LOTS of BUG SPRAY. Sadly, I'm allergic to bugs.....and bug spray. ?

Very helpful and friendly staff. They accomodate you with a quiet, large, well serviced site, equipped with picnic table and your choice of basic, hydro only, or hydro and water, or full hook up with hydro, water and sewer. Beautiful ponds, canoe, kayak and boat rentals. In ground pool with playgrounds for the kids, horseshoe pits, large well maintained soccer and football field. *GREAT PLACE FOR GROUP EVENTS!! SOCCER TOURNAMENTS ETC* Recreation hall available for small parties etc.

This campground was chosen because of its location ( about 1.5hrs NE of Toronto) and that it honours Passport America, making it a very good deal. The sites have full hook ups and they also have seasonal sites. I enjoyed the clean pool which is good for children being 4ft deep throughout. There is a deeper pool being renovated. My site was on a hill and close to a shower and laundry building. I did rent a kayak but it was in poor condition and it was tricky finding my way through the tall grasses to reach the river at the far end of a very nice small pond. There is a fantastic long trail within walking distance for hiking or cycling. The campground needs some TLC but I enjoyed the peaceful environment and will be back again.

I was very happy with my stay at trout water. The owners and fellow campers were extremely nice. I've been camping across Ontario for 10 years now and I must say this is truly a hidden gem considering how close it is to Toronto (only 1 hour drive!). Campsites are very spacious and lots of land for sports and activites. Also have canoes and kayaks available for rental which was nice. I definitely recommend this place!!

Just phoned today for July 2021 , and was told it was full. Then the owner says he can get me in at $50 per night with 30amp but at $50 per night. The website says $34 per night without sewer. Then I tell the owner I have a Passport America Membership, and he wont honor it due to Covid 19, which is covid price gouging. Other parks are excepting the discount, so this guy is full of it and breaking the law by raising prices during a pandemic.

Had a seasonal spot at this park for two years. Was not impressed with the ownership, staff, the condition of the park, children's playground was a health hazard. The fees and extra charges were at the discretion of the management. Fees were not adjusted during Covid, yet there was a shortened season. Did enjoy time spent with the other people at the park.

The park is very run down. Two pools, both liners ripped. Basket ball nets are broken, horseshoe pits are all grass. Trailers are in like sardines.
