I was considering buying an M5 from the Edmonton area and needed someone to inspect the car and provide me a fair assessment. This was especially important because I was from out of Province. Dan inspected the car and spent 45 minutes on the phone going over the car, his findings and impressions. He answered all my questions and provided the comfort I needed before buying airline tickets. His quote was also reasonable on some minor work that needed done. Once in Edmonton, I took the car back to Dan who performed the work, and had me on my way in no time. Dan knows his cars and certainly knows his BMW's. I like the attention of a smaller specialty indy as opposed to larger shops. Dan certainly delivered and seemed to have my interests at heart instead of pushing unnecessary work.

He has an online booking service with one hour slots throughout the day but after booking ypu are meet with a message that all vehicles must be dropped of at 9am. There is a section for comments so I left one saying "I live an hour out of edmonton and have to drop kids off at school then on my way. If there is an issue with this please call and let me know." I showed up at 10:15 since I did not recieve a phone call to be told by the owner that he had a personal appointment at 11 and wouldn't even look at my car until after lunch. I understand being busy and I understand he is a small shop but why would you have bookable slots if you want everyone there at 9am? I was told he troubleshoot all vehicles in the morning one after another then calls about the issue. That is a good way for a company to rack up a bill while doing very little work, how can he keep accurate times of how long you were on the hoist? The dealership might be slightly more expensive but they treat you like your time is actually valuable, not secondary to his.

Poor experience at triska. Paid full price for a diagnosis which was half done at best. Mechanic said he could not complete it without performing an oil change which he had wanted $290 for. Once I declined because I prefer to do the work myself, he did not share much further information on what could be done to fix my issues. I have had no history of an oil leak from my oil filter cap before but when I got home to take a look, oil was spilling out because he did not put an o ring back on. I expected more going to a “BMW tech”.

Our X3 came down with an odd problem. I do most of my own repairs, but this one was too deep in the computer for me to fix at home. So I took it to Triska for help. The guys there are awesome, they got me in quickly and fixed the problem without any issues. They could have easily charged me double or triple what they did and I wouldn’t have questioned it. Honest and good to deal with. I will absolutely take my cars to them again. As a car guy who enjoys working on them myself, that is as high a praise as I can give.

I could not get the roof to close on my 335i Cabriolet. I read a few Google reviews that I thought had some substance and gave Triska a chance to fix my car. I confess I was a bit apprehensive after my last experience with a non-dealer BMW expert. Based on peer Beemer owners groups, I had a rough idea what the problem was. Dropping off the car was an easy process. I was greeted at the door by 2 lovely dogs. Both very friendly. One was playful bringing me his rope to play tug of war. What can I say, they were delightful and frankly, businesses that allow pets on premises speak volumes on the personnel working there. They got my car in on time, I went for coffee, headed home but before arriving, I got a call indicating the car was ready for pick up. Takes a lot for me to award 5 stars however in this case, not a problem at all. Not only did they fix the car they didn't overcharge me which could easily have been done had they said it was hydraulic and not a relay issue. Other positives, clean shop, bathroom and did I say, a dog better. Thank you and I will return.

This guy all he cares is just to give you the invoice as quick as he can so you pay him and have a nice day. Poor experience. Charged me $341 just for diagnosing my car and at the end of the day he refused to work on my car because somebody else worked on it before and because he knew that previous guy who did worked on my car, what kind of mechanic does this. If you really specialize on BMW you will fix the issue no matter whO worked in this car before or no matter what. All he care is $$$ he will give you the invoice to you sooo quick that tell you that he doesn’t really care about customers

So I'd like to start by saying I am an avid DIYer, especially when it comes to my vehicles. That being said I have brought both of my BMW's to Triska, and both times I could not be happier with the results. Even on my last visit I brought a total basket case example of a 3 series, plagued with issues and he got it running and driving within 6 hours. From the very beginning he was very transparent with the work being done and the options we could go with, even offering a cheaper alternative which would save me a ton of money in the end. Even though I do most of the work myself this is the only shop I trust taking my vehicles to and 100% recommend Triska to anyone in the Edmonton area.

I brought my 2008 BMW Z4 in for what I was told from another shop was a steering angle sensor fault. Dan was able to diagnose the issue and obtain the part quickly. As a result I saved a lot of money from not replacing a part that was not at fault. Dan is friendly and he answered my questions, he also gave me an honest opinion on several items. Trust and honesty is what I value most and that is why I will be going back when the time comes.
