TPFA - Tpfa.ca

For the past 48 years Trinity Place Foundation of Alberta has been a non-profit organization that manages government subsidized housing for low income, independent seniors aged sixty and older. Unique is our approach to housing: Supporting your choice of community resources that empowers you to live your best. At TPFA we provide homes for seniors, not seniors' homes.

About Trinity Place Foundation Of Alberta

More than 40 years later, our not-for-profit organization is responsible for managing and developing seniors’ housing throughout the city. We are now Calgary’s largest provider of self-contained seniors’ housing and respond to the needs of a diverse clientele.

The majority of seniors we serve have low incomes. Some of our population includes previously marginalized individuals whose quality of life can benefit greatly from additional social supports. We often employ our creative and collaborative partnerships to initiate meaningful supports for our tenants. We address issues as they surface with the goal of supporting overall health and wellbeing, while reducing isolation and vulnerability.

TPFA is a recognized leader and advocate in seniors’ issues, and we have implemented many innovative programs to minimize the marginalization of low-income seniors and encourage healthy aging in the right place.

Our mom has been living in Grace Manor for seven years and has always been very happy there. The staff is fantastic and they are always friendly and willing to help with anything mom needs. JoAnne has been wonderful to deal with. She is always responsive and we are so happy to know that she and her staff are looking out for our mom.

A little over two years ago, my Mum came to live with me here in Calgary until she was able to find her own accommodations suited for people 65+ Due to a disability, she was no longer able to work and income was a concern, along with finding a place that would accommodate mobility restricted people. We went through many potential options and were beginning to feel discouraged. After about two months of searching, we found Trinity Place Foundation, and particularly their property, Grace Manor. From day one the property manager, JoAnne, along with the other residents and extremely helpful and caring staff, made my Mum feel like she was welcome and part of a family. In this short period of time, I’ve been able to see my Mum grow confident again in her mobility (thanks again to the well-designed layout of the suite), and flourish with all sorts of new friends and people that are now part of her life at Grace Manor. If you are looking for an incredible living experience in a mature community, look no further!

Grace Manor is a great place to live. I've lived here for 10 years. Any problems with my suite are immediately remedied. Any information needed is available. JoAnne, our Manager is our 'happy spark'. Always helpful, cheerful and compassionate. Over the years JoAnne has volunteered her time to help provide Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter dinners in our Common Room for tenants who wish to attend. Adrian our Maintenance person is always cheerful and quick to help. Thanks to Jessica our building is well maintained.

I enjoy living at Grace Gardens very much. JoAnne our manager is very kind and attentive to all our needs. Jessica works very hard, but always take a few minutes, with a smile to chat - when time allows. Adrian looks like he’s always on the run, to please everyone. He stops for a moment, also with a smile, to listen to our concerns. I thank JoAnne many time, how much I appreciate her and the team. Let’s not forget Ricardo, more on the quiet side, very nice as he gets the work done. Thank you to each and everyone of you, making the building very well kept. Most of all doing your best, to make us happy and make this our happy home.

I have two family members in Grace Gardens and Grace Manor, and they absolutely love living there. The buildings are very safe and clean, and the lobby and main floor areas of both buildings are great for socializing and doing different activities (although obviously not during the pandemic). JoAnne, the property manager, is incredible - such a lovely person and she always makes sure the tenants are taken care of. The other staff members are super sweet and helpful too.

I chose to move to Grace Gardens two years ago and have never once regretted it. The staff are cheerful, professional, ready to help. Jessica keeps even the stairwells sparkling clean (and decorates for every occasion!). Adrian will fix any maintenance problem promptly and with care. JoAnne does her best to maintain a safe environment for all. The tenants here are extremely generous and have helped me in multiple ways. The location is ideal, with parks, stores, and transit nearby.

I have lived at Grace Manor for two years and feel very happy and safe here. This is my first experience living in an urban setting. I love that the location is so central and within easy walking distance to many stores. I couldn't ask for a nicer working staff. JoAnne, our manager, always goes that extra mile to make people feel welcome and taken care of. Adrian, our maintenance man, has always been so helpful when needed. Jessica, our cleaning attendant, does a great job keeping our building tidy and clean. All the staff are upbeat, very friendly and a joy to interact with. Hopefully, as the pandemic eases, there will be more opportunities to socialize and utilize the lovely lounge area.

I have lived in Grace Gardens for 6 years now and absolutely love my home and my Dream Team that takes such wonderful care of us all. JoAnne is exceptional in every way. Adrian, is wonderful in the way he keeps this building running and always there when his help is needed. Jessica keeps our building beautifully clean. I have lived in this neighbourhood since 1986 and enjoy the convenience of having all the places of business for the services I use, shopping, and restaurants. This is a beautiful neighbourhood to walk and cycle with access to the bike paths. My only regret is that I have had my car vandalized countless times, with my windows smashed. I understand other buildings have extra security with gates added to the properties and would like to have measures taken at Grace Gardens for more protection.
