★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ran away from the hotel, even if I can not get the refund $110. , a nightmare. The owner, looks like an south Asian, threatened me to let his dog bite me. I arrived there at 4 pm this afternoon , and found lots of insects on the window, there was big insect falling on my clothes, dirty everywhere, noisy outside, and I can hear cars going clearly, besides a strong smell. When I called the reception desk, the owner shouted at me that there was no refund if I cancel. I went down to the reception desk and talked to the owner, he shouted at me : go away, or I will let dog out. The dog began barking furiously, I ran out to call police, the police advised me to leave as soon as possible. Then I canceled the order, put the room card on table because I was scared to go to the reception desk. I can’t believe it happened in Canada.
Seems no place to upload the video that the dog barked at me. I am really shocked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff was very friendly, room was recently updated, was clean and comfortable. The hairdryer was not working, so not bad for the price and a breakfast in a bag due to Covid. Have stayed twice now and love being able to park and walk straight to my room door. Pet friendly, for a small fee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lady who runs it is very nice, the rooms are clean and have been renovated. Many places like this smell like smoke or mildew, this place does not. It's well worth the cost and right downtown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is cheap, but good; if you're looking for the basics of a bed, TV and internet, it fits the bill. Nothing fancy, but you're not paying much, either. This was during the cold snap at New Years (-40 temps) and the heat was GREAT...no notice of the cold outside at all. Would be nice if the parking lot was cleaned out; a good bit of snow. But all in all, a positive experience.
