Outside looks great; log cabin charm and easy parking even with a trailer. Inside you are greeted with out of order signs for washrooms (men's was barely working and in a state of disrepair). Place wasn't busy but soooo slow. Ordered ribs and they committed two absolute sins 1: they were microwaved not grilled and 2: they were as cold as the fridge. Tried asking for them to be grilled hot but after another 10-15 minutes we gave up and left. I hope this was an aberration as we wanted to love the place for all its outdated charm and menus, but cold food is dangerous and inexcusable.

Home cooked meals with generous servings. We have driven well out of our way to enjoy the dinners at the Pend D'Oreille Steak House. The prices are very much reasonable and the staff are beautifully friendly.

The beef dip was excellent! The chicken Ceasar wrap is huge. And they bring an entire carafe of coffee, so no need to wait on the busy waitress; love it! We added $2 for the poutine, unfortunately it was barely lukewarm (but that is an oddity) and I was hoping for cheese curds but they use grated marble cheese instead... that being said, that's pretty standard in these parts (cheese curds is not a realistic expectation out here) and the gravy was delicious! The prices are reasonable, it's very clean, the staff is friendly and I absolutely LOVE the rustic log house!

Highly recommend. Had the half rack of ribs w/yams fries... finger licking good! My husband had the Grizzly burger (double bacon cheese) w/fries and gravy...said it was the best burger he has had in years!! Finished of the meal with homemade huckleberry pie a la mode...thumbs up to Roxanne, delicious! Service was great, staff very friendly and the beer was well chilled!?? Look forward to going back!

The only saving grace of this restaurant were its potato skins and even they were below average and sparse in toppings. Starving and passing through town, we chose this place for its good reviews... Which must be for a different restaurant entirely. My date had the fish & chips with poutine. The fish was overcooked, the poutine was also overcooked in the fryer and was made with shredded cheddar cheese and box gravy as opposed to the cheese curds that would be, at minimum, expected. I had the shrimp club wrap with a side of coleslaw. The wrap was filled with iceberg lettuce, flavourless tomatoes, 2 strips of bacon, and the tiny shrimp that one might get prepackaged in a grocery store. A flavourless mess, it instantly fell apart. The coleslaw was equally bad, and probably out of a 20L pail from the grocery store. I picked at both but finished less than 15% of each. My date forced herself to finish her fish but couldn't stomach more than a bite of the poutine and asked the waitress if she could have something different instead. The waitress went back to the kitchen to check and came back with the response of "No, but we won't charge the extra $2 upcharge for the poutine." This is by far the worst restaurant I have been to in several years, and perhaps, in my life. Looking over at the 4 patrons in this restaurant (all over 60 years old) I saw that their soup of the day was apparently chicken noodle... of the Lipton's boxed variety. At $20-30 for the pair of us, we'd have gotten better quality food at the local fast food joints for less money. We will never return and I write this review only to save other travellers from a similarly poor experience.

Food is amazing! We had a Chicken Club, think homemade bread & hand cut fries. Atmosphere is very rustic, definitely not a fast food restaurant BUT so worth the wait for the amazing food.

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a hotel I was staying at. If u judge a restaurant by the condition of the restroom, don't go here. It seems the maintenance of the facilities are a bit lax. Urinal out of order (apparently for some time,), and the sink was less than clean. That said, the menu is varied and reasonably priced. I had opted for a burger, and the portion size was more than I could handle on an empty stomach. Log building is very impressive, and service is, well, friendly. Not far from stellar, but the other reviews make some valid points.
