Winter Tires’ Special Rubber Compound & Flexible Tread
The biggest difference between all season tires and winter tires, is that winter tires are created with a special rubber compound that is designed to stay flexible in cold temperatures, which keeps the tire in contact with the road giving you better traction in wintery conditions. All season tires don’t have this compound, so when temperatures go below 7°C all season tires become hard and rigid and can lose traction with the road. Winter tires are highly recommended for anyone driving in cold weather conditions.
Designed with Sipes
Another difference between winter and all season tires is the sipes. Sipes are small slits in tires that push snow and water away from the tire. Winter tires have larger and deeper sipes to move water and snow faster, helping with acceleration as well as reduce braking distances on wet, snow covered and slippery roads.
Look for the Snowflake Symbol
In order to know if your tires are winter certified, look for the snowflake emblem on the side of your tire. Created by the Rubber Association of Canada and the Rubber Manufacturers’ Association, this stamp validates that the tire meets the specific snow traction requirements and is approved to drive in snow and icy conditions.

When I came back to pick the car up, they told me my final bill was actually $100 LESS then what we agreed upon because the tires shipped in already studded and they did not have to manually stud them. I would have never known the difference. Their honesty gained a loyal customer for life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just call to get a price on having tires installed so wanted a price well had to know size then wanted type of vehicle down to the year.
I was fine with that but called others and they never wanted so much info but the price was almost double to install & balance. I guess I stick with Kal tire as there a lot cheaper. I thinking the guy must be new or out to retire quickly charging well 80.00 more Plus tax as he was sire to end with that. The online sellers must take away lots of business & perhaps the rent hurting them but gouging is not a way to get business in a smaller area either

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Make sure you take pictures of your rims before dropping off your vehicle otherwise they will not assume any responsibility for any damage done to your wheels. The damage was so recent that it still had the white dust on the rim where someone tried to pry the center logo.
