speaking to jeniffer who claimed she didnt even work there yet answered the phone was extremely difficult. i simply don’t understand why someone who doesn’t work at that company is allowed to pick up calls and argue with costumers!

I was an outpatient client for their 4 week program to not just treat addiction but to also find the underlining route, which was the passing of my mother. The group therapists as well as the individual therapists took their time, sked the right questions and each had their own individual styles. Going into the program, I was extremely skeptical and nervous because I didn't think I actually needed any type of help. I was wrong, I am still a work in progress but I am in a lot better spot now, than I was 4 weeks ago. Overall, it is worth taking some time to actually revaluate what your life looks like and how certain things can be effecting you and I highly recommend this solution.

6 weeks inpatient at Trafalgar East and 4 weeks outpatient in Toronto. Very busy program. Counsellors and therapists are amazing and genuine about their own recovery. Chef was awesome. After care follow up is very thorough.

I did 30 days at the Trafalgar East Centre and I an't say enough about the program. Staff were all incredible and extremely helpful, the therapy sessions were huge in recovery process, and the structure of the program really aided me in focusing on myself and my core issues. Not to mention the food was fantastic! I would highly recommend Trafalgar.

Incredible staff and amazing system. The therapists are separate form the counsellors, so that means my therapist was 3 times a week talking about the intense issues and the counsellors were running groups and giving guidance along the way. The rice lake location was out of a fairy tail. I’ve been to a few treatment centres in my life, but in my opinion, their therapeutic environment, scenic residence, and overall program is unparalleled thus far. Thanks for the opportunity of allowing me to piece myself back together! Couldn’t do it without you guys! God bless!

I am currently receiving treatment from Trafalgar and am in the second week out of four. I will attempt to give an unbiased view of the program. I have attended another treatment center in the past and thus far am disappointed with the experience at Trafalgar. I am completing their online program consisting of two 75 minute sessions per day each weekday and three one-on-one 50-minute counseling sessions each week for a cost of $9,000. One session with a psychiatrist is included as well as a few family sessions and some after care. There is no detailed treatment plan personalized for you. I was simply thrust into the group sessions, which are difficult to maintain focus to when attending online. It would be nice to have an overview of how the program is going to help me and specifically how it will make me better. What really helps participants like me is when there are specific set goals on what will be done to accomplish a particular task. I'd like to have X, Y, and Z done by the end of the program, but these items were never discussed or mentioned. It's just a generic program for everyone. There has also been poor communication with me, which is done primarily through email, to set up the thrice-weekly appointments with a therapist. On one instance, the therapist asked to move my appointment with less than 24 hours notice and then was not even online for that updated time. By the time I saw the email for the appointment, the session was over. The therapist then counted the missed appointment against me. I had to battle with them to give that session back to me. I initially attempted to get a refund for the program, but once you sign, you will not be given any possibility of getting your money back. I talked with the clinical director Nathaniel about the missed session and he initially attempted to blame me for it, though I was online and ready to go at the start time. There was never an admission of wrongdoing on his part. You may think this is not too troubling, but as someone who has difficulty with assertiveness, it was very difficult to speak up and demand that I was given what I deserved. Nathaniel then attempted to gaslight me and say something along the lines of "If only you had spoken to me in a calm voice...". True, I did curse and yell, which is not a good approach, but I felt wronged for them blaming me on my missed session. Thus far, this program has been a waste of time and money & I wish I had done more research before choosing them. If you are looking for a program that has a clear individualized path for success, where you see your accomplishments, make adjustments, & continue it indefinitely, then this program is not it. You'll sit through some group sessions with a few copied worksheets (no real homework, no real checkins, no checking of progress). In hindsight, I should have looked for a program that has good CBT with homework and a clear plan for success both during the treatment and after. ---- This is in response to the Trafalgar response. The language used was much nicer than it was over the phone, assuredly to better market to future clients. >>> It was kind to acknowledge the vocal cursing and abusive language towards our caring clinical team. To succeed in treatment one must be accountable, motivated and willing to participate This is a great example of the low quality treatment offered at Trafalgar. Nathaniel (the clinical directly likely writing the response) continually brought up the profanity I used, once via email and once over the phone. I was very angry that Trafalgar was attempting to steal a session from me that I paid for. They squarely blamed me, though I was sitting at my computer at the start time with no link to the session. I had to ask Nathaniel politely to stop bringing up to the profanity incident over the phone. He hesitated when I asked but then still brought it up later and then did so again in the response. He seems obsessed with highlighting this mistake. I'm out of characters, but notice how none of my points were addressed in their response.
