HISTORY

Toy Sense began in 2002 when Darryl Boyer informed his son Mateyko that he was opening a new store. It was going to be an Auto-Tool store but out of the mouth of a 5 year old was, “Is it going to be a toy store?” Not to disappoint his son, he brought in a few toys. At the same time the local toy store closed and there was a demand for quality toys. A few toys turned into a row. A row of toys turned into two. This original toy store has grown to 4,500 sq. feet with a warehouse of 7,000 sq. feet. The toy store is located at 447 May Street North alongside a business called Auto-Tool Sense where you can find a full line of auto parts, hand and air tools. In 2019 we opened a second toy store at 309 Bay Street in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In the summer of 2021 we opened Wildwood Cafe at our 447 May Street North location.

E-COMMERCE

Our e-commerce site ToySense.ca offers a huge selection of products. You can order online and select local pick up, delivery or have your order shipped. We ship throughout Canada and the USA. For international orders please contact us directly.

Our goal is to provide our customers with a fun place to shop for quality educational toys. We strive for excellent customer service and are always looking for ways to improve. We consider ourselves Thunder Bay's local toy experts.
