Small organized place with helpful staff. Busy and not silent. WiFi doesn't work properly sometimes if you're using it with your own device. It'll either keep disconnecting intermittently or connect and not work or not connect.

Lots of weird people. Not the best, most quiet place to study. There is also a kids corner and some activity from there. Very small also so it might get full quickly. There are better libraries for work and study, like Reference Library or Yorkville Library

Very neat and clean library. Plenty of natural light, and clear view of the front of city hall. Staff seemed very nice and polite, going as far as giving me directions to another library that had a book I was looking for. They also allowed me to bring drinks in, so that was nice. An incredibly small library compared to others I've been to. As such, not too many places to sit, unless you sit by the windows; there aren't tables, just a short platform with radiators (I think), and the chairs don't really bend backwards. The selection is, likewise, very small. Getting to the library itself is a hassle for such a small selection, so I do not recommend coming here, unless you're just in the area and need a place to stay for a bit.

This place is totally opened and small. However the staff is professional and nice.

Small library location that isn’t open on weekends. They do have small events like author talks here. Check the website or postings at the library for details. There isn’t much of a kids play area except for a carpet by the kids books section.

I was hoping for a quiet place to study but unfortunately it wasn't the case at all!Otherwise the library is nice, small but has a good selection of books.

I've been going to this library since year 2000. I mostly use it to borrow DVD movies. Occasionally I have borrowed books and magazines. You can also read newspapers there. It is mid-sized when compared to all Toronto libraries. The staff has been very courteous and helpful. There are computers that you can book time on. Because the library is inside City Hall, the hours are more restricted: Mon-Fri 10:00-18:00. I wish they were open on a Sat. During the pandemic, they were closed until mid-Mar 2022. That's 2 years. Staff were working out of other branches and I saw two of them at the other branches. At least two have returned to this branch. When my son went to kindergarten at City Hall daycare, we visited the library more. There is a small children's sectionΒ  they had toddler and kindergarten activities there. There are children's bookmarks and colouring paper. They have occasional activities like a magician show or lessons in STEM and 3D printing; all free. For adults, I've attended free courses like computer animation. There is free WiFi. The library is wheelchair accessible.Β  They don't have washrooms but you can use the City Hall washrooms. The only easy parking is under Nathan Phillips Square or Eaton Centre. The library has good good collection of books but its not as big as the other public libraries. The staff is friendly and helpful but the atmosphere is not quiet at all. Due to small space we can here even if the staff talks among themselves. I do go at the place to read books on Nutrition since it’s near to my home. I miss the quietness if the library here.
