Great place friendly people.

Great location. You'd never know you were in the centre of the city. People are friendly, just don't go near their boat LOL

My wife and I have been talking about acquiring a space to keep our canoe in the city for about a year and we had decided to give the Toronto Humber Yacht Club a try. Our first contact with a representative of the club was over the phone. It was very casual, no reference to the business when the call was answered. Cosmo was the person who was our 1st contact. He quoted my wife a price of $525+hst from now through winter. As the price for membership for a year is $725+hst, my wife was under the impression that the $525+hst now until spring or "through the winter". Arrangements were made to view the space and facilities before making the commitment. We were to meet with Karen. We met Karen. Very unfriendly. Very unwelcoming, rushed if you will. She let us know the availability and the pricing. Which she had said was $565 all in, until December 31st. Different than what Cosmo told us. After talking it over together, my wife we decided it didn't make sense to pay $200 less for 3 months usage (obviously). So we had decided to give Cosmo a call to negotiate a price that was more reflective of the time left in the year for the membership. My wife called him today and his reply was $400 because we lived in the same neighborhood. And gave her an email address for an etransfer. Which was a personal email address, showing no affiliations to the club. She told him that she would discuss the new price with me. We discussed. I called Cosmo to see how he got to $400 and to see how flexible he was with the price. My reasoning for this was that we would be still paying more than half a yearly membership fee for only 3 months of use. Before I could finish saying what I wanted to Cosmo proceeded to cut me off. He told me in an incredibly condescending way that the price is the price and that "This club is not for you." Verbatim. Then hung up on me. I got on my phone to write this review and he called me back to tell me that this was the 1st time in his "successful business career" that someone has tried to "low ball" him and that he doesn't know me or how I do business, but that I was very unprofessional. I told him that I wasn't trying to offend him. He then proceeded to get in a yelling match with my wife over the phone and alluded to us "Not being able to afford it", very rudely. Key things that stuck out to me in this whole ordeal were. Karen's inhospitable aura. And this club not being for us. Got you loud and clear Cosmo. Also note that I'm black and my wife mixed race. Take that how you will.

Stay away from this place cosmo is scammer.. then he will call cops ive lost 4000$ stay away hes goof theif scamer and cop caller he has no balls..

Excellent place to visit. Cosmo (owner) is super friendly. Family member has a membership so we were invited for a picnic. Highly recommended.

Good social distancing measures, kayak tour put on by Toronto adventures. Excellent summer experience, they have comedy, magic and band shows throughout the summer months on the Humber River. Hidden yacht club, very shallow water upstream, surprised that many boats haven't beached with low water levels this year.

Great spot, friendly and welcoming people. I was there to celebrate the clubs 65th anniversary and I had a great time! It’s more like a cottage vibe. Cosmo is funny and he has that European attitude which is so cool.

Nice location, worn out facilities and ambiance.
