L	Leena Springer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked in for my hair appointment, a man was doing someone's hair, was not greeted with a friendly hello, just looked at with a questioning look on his face, like why are you here? I told him I had an appt for 1230, which it was exactly, he told me he'd be about 20min longer with his client. When I called and booked the appt I had asked for a bit earlier as I had to work after, nothing was available earlier. I told them it had been 2 and a half years since I'd had a haircut and I work 65hrs/wk and this was the only free time I had so I'll just come in at the time they had, get it done, and go straight to work. I definitely wasn't going to be able to wait 20! min til he was done! Not only that but as he's doing her hair he's trying to ask me over her head what I want done on my hair, very awkward. I felt like a burden for needing a haircut, so I walked out without getting my hair done, BUT I went to Kharma instead, highly recommend it, wonderful place!!
A	Alexandra Healy-Nikolopoulos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am new to the Langford/colwood area trying to support the local communities salons and I had a really bad experience with my hair at one of the local salons so I decided to call this one. When I called the phone was answered from a man and I tried to tell him I wanted my roots done and to add some lowlights, he didn’t listen to anything I said and was rude and then decided to hang up on me. I called again to try and talk to the manager and tell them about this rude employee to find out the person I talked to and was so rude to me was the OWNER LUIGI! And decided to not go to that salon and I suggest everyone stays away from this place ! If this is how u treat a new customer I can’t imagine how u treat anyone. Save yourself the headache and stay away. I’ll update this review once I find a new RESPECTFUL salon!
I	IL Cooney on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cut my own hair & it was not great. The lady stylist did such a beautiful job repairing my mistakes. The shop was clean & they took extra precautions & only let one customer in at a time. A lot of expertise in there. Highly recommend this salon.

Anyone that calls a busy salon trying to describe in detail about what they want...roots...highlights...more ...is not going about the right way. Hairdresser's do not have the power to look at your hair over the phone! They shouldn't have to give you a precise information sight unseen! There's many factors involved that Alexandria obviously does not realize. We have been happily utilizing Tony's Hair design services for countless years, so there's actual basis to my real review. Luigi and crew work hard, they're experienced and the prices are super reasonable. They have the best hair care products and tanning lotion selections for their tanning rooms. I have never, ever had any issues with any of the staff or services I've received at Tony's, period...and yes, Luigi gave me the best "in person" consultation today before considering chemical processes for my hair. He checked my hair condition and we mutually discussed what's optimal for me. He spent 3 lovely hours with me and gave me highlights and a haircut that I'm sooo thankful and excited about! Totally, 100% satisfied, every time.
C	Christina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here multiple times because I bought a 100 min tanning card. There is a male, which I'm assuming is the owner, who has checked me in a few times. First time I was told that there was no one receptionist is available to check me in and that only the owner can check me in. He apparently went away and was supposed to come back. I waited for what seemed like 20 mins just to be able to able to drop in for a tan. Second time I dropped in the same guy looked me up and down while he was checking me in. Gross. Other times I have been checked into the tanning beds by the lady receptionist and the bed was not even clean. The tanning rooms do not have a mirror which seems weird to me. The rooms are also very small and seemingly unprofessional to tanning salon standards. I will not be returning after my 100 min card is used up. Good value though for 100 mins tanning and if you do not care about what happened the rest of my experience.
