Delicious and fresh ingredients. Also open to feedback-I suggested they provide a way to opt out of disposable cutlery included in the order and the very next day it was on their website. A welcome addition to the neighbourhood!

I found this place online while working nearby and highly recommend! It is hidden away in the alley behind Queen, so don't be alarmed if you don't see it at first. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back!

The location is a little hard to find. It's a turquoise green coloured shipping container in the parking lot at the back of the building The service is friendly and courteous The Signature Beef soup (9 dollars before tax) taste just like Pho broth except this is totally devoid of MSG and seasoned just right The soup comes in a 600ml spout pouch with cap. The instructions and ingredients are written on the label. The portion is big enough to make 3 small bowls of Pho or 2 medium bowls The soup also comes in 3 other flavours, which are Chicken, Seafood (Lobster and Pineapple) and Vegetarian

Ordered the seafood and beef hot noodle soup. So delicious even without msg. Make sure to get the satay sauce too. Even got my picky toddler to eat his vegetables. Huge win! Will be back.

the soup here is delicious. its a little hidden and hard to find since its back of a salon in the parking lot. Good thing its next to a condo building so its not sketchy. The soup is really tasty and great for a wet cold day. really warms the body up. highly recommend trying it if you are looking for some tasty soup and noodles.

Tong Mein just opened 2021-03-18 in a shipping container. It features very healthy noodle soups. The hours are Wed to Sun, 11:00 to 19:00. If they sell out, they would post a notice on their Instagram account. They have a phone number but it is not at the location and it wasn't answered when I called twice during the day (my first call was because I couldn't find the place so I asked a local business). The owner called me back so I got to speak to him. He is so enthusiastic about this business. The two staff were also very courteous and helpful. Healthy?Β  How healthy?Β  How about gluten-free, nut-free, no preservatives, no dairy products, and no MSG!Β Not only is his food healthy, he also finds ingredients that are also healthy for you so you'll find ingredients that you would never find in a Chinese noodle soup such as kale in the seafood noodle soup or squash in the beef noodle soup. The owner is a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese. He was a former vegetarian. He wanted to make tasty food since people view healthy food as not tasty. The owner, Dan Tran, owns the "Album Hair" salon at 639 Queen St East. Because of pandemic restrictions, hair salons have been closed for so much of the past year. He decided to place a shipping container behind his hair salon and serve noodle soups! The "restaurant" has a wooden deck above the container that would be used as outdoor dining whenever pandemic restrictions allow it (it is currently not allowed under "stay-at-home" restrictions). Whenever his salon is open, for customer who are there for a long time, they can also try some soup and rest in the upper deck. The menu has 4 custom soup choices: β€’ Seafood Noodle Soup Bowl ($16). β€’ Beef Noodle Soup Bowl ($15). β€’ Chicken Noodle Soup Bowl ($15). β€’ Vegan Noodle Soup Bowl ($15). These bowls come in a black takeout container and the broth is in a separate see-through pouch with a cap. When you are ready, you would pour the hot broth into the bowl. Chopsticks and napkins are provided. The broth pouches come refrigerated and take around 11 minutes to heat up. There are 4 soup broths that can be purchased separately if you just want soup: chicken ($9), beef ($9), seafood ($10), vegan ($8). You also have the option of building your own bowl for $14+. Step 1: Noodles (vermicelli, rice noodles, sweet potato vermicelli) Step 2: Protein (shrimp, beef, chicken, tofu) Step 3: Toppings Step 4: Garnish Step 5: Soup Broth The seafood broth is made with lobster head. It is good as an antidepressant and amnesia. The broth is also labelled as sugar free, antibiotic free, and hormone free. We bought the Seafood Noodle Soup Bowl ($16). The broth definitely tasted healthy (eg, not salty) and fragrant.Β  The toppings were definitely fresh. You never find kale in a Chinese noodle soup! The tomatoes were cherry tomatoes so they maintain their freshness. I wonder if they will allow you to bring home the refrigerated broth and heat it up yourself at home. There is no customer WiFi. There are no washrooms. The place is wheelchair accessible but the upstairs seating area isn't. Finding the place is not easy. You can park on the north side of Queen St E for 2 hours free of charge (except for 16:00 to 18:00). Then you can walk east of the hair salon to the Toyota dealership parking lot to an opening at the back to the alleyway or walk west to E Don Roadway and south to the alleyway. Or you can drive to the back alleyway but officially you are not allowed to park there (but there is enough space). 2021-048 If you like my review, please give my review a thumbs up and click on my profile pic (at the top, on a mobile/cell phone), and click on "Follow"). Hidden away but worth the trip! We met the owner on his way out for deliveries and he was incredibly friendly. He made some awesome recommendations. Their jerk beef chilled noodle bowl was awesome. Healthy, but delicious. We also grabbed some of their frozen seafood soup and used it as a stock to make Paella which was super tasty. Will definitely be going back.
