To whom it may concern,
Tokyo Express in St Albert AB has been my go to place for sushi take out for awhile. I always order the same thing; dragon eye rolls, Mexican rolls, and a spicy tuna cone. Well I noticed some changes were made to these items, and not for the better. First the dragon eye rolls used to come with a little cup of this amazing sesame dipping sauce, which was the best part of the previously frozen rolls. Now they took away the cup and pour some sauce directly on the rolls, and the sauce has changed. It's no longer the delicious one from before, it's now some weird orange one. Perhaps it's siracha mayo? Second my Mexican rolls were very off putting because they were more than 50% tempura crumbs, and had a mystery green sauce coating it. I couldn't even taste the spicy tuna. Lastly the spicy tuna cone. I would love to say that this was fantastic but sadly the cone I paid for wasn't put in my to go bag. Dinner isn't something I'm willing to compromise on and this experience has turned me off from ever eating at tokyo express again. But perhaps my comments can help satisfy future customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chicken rice bowl was overcooked, and the dragon sushi smelled like death so we didn't eat it. Bento box C was decent enough. Think we'll skip this place in the near future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT GO TO TOKYO EXPRESS! We entered into this restaurant and ordered beef teriyaki bowls and dragon rolls. The teriyaki sauce and the sesame sauces have been downgraded. The flavours have changed, and not for the better. The beef was NOT fresh, Alberta beef. The vegetables were not crisp. Due to the competition and, of course, COVID-19, they have introduced multiple specials and price reductions. The quality is poor and I will be taking my business to the competition and pay more but it will be worth it. Treat your customers with RESPECT, PLEASE DO NOT REPLY WITH THE CANNED RESPONSE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love their Maki and sushi rolls. Big difference when I tasted another sushi from other stores. Staff guy in the kitchen is very polite. Offered me a seat while waiting for my order to-go. I noticed their restaurant and service got better in the past few months.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer service was excellent. Staff members are friendly and explains everything throughly. Food taste very fresh and tasty. I ordered their chicken rice bowl and dragon eye roll for lunch. The chicken rice bowl gives you a good serving of everything and is very filling. The teriyaki sauce was also very tasty. The dragon eye roll was very crispy and fresh and the spicy mayo sauce it came with paired perfectly with the rolls. I will definitely come back again next time for lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bento box was excellent. The lady serving us was very helpful (and quite patient) suggested a few things to try. And we did enjoy.
The fruit tea is amazing. Peach/Mango is so good.
The place is continuously cleaned as customers entered and exited.
We will go here again soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer service was amazing, the staffs are super welcoming and friendly and explains the menu very well. The food is good for the price and I got my order very quickly. I also got the red pineapple fruit tea, it wasn't too sweet which I liked. Definitely will be coming back to this location.
