★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys work so hard. Quick journey, no life vests so be aware of that if you can't swim but the whole trip takes ten mins at most.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their prices aren't competitive, the other water taxis tend to be around $30 max for an adult, while Tofino Water Taxi charges at least $35 per adult person. Other companies I've gone with have offered a bit of a tour with the taxi ride (info about the area's geography, animals, and history) whereas this one did not. Update: We were the only people on the boat each way so it's hard to see how both drivers we had would have been too busy to say anything to us at all except "call me when you're done".
Also -1 star because I just read the dismissive responses to other guest's valid concerns about this company's punctuality. I will also add that they were not punctual on pick up, even when they had asked us to set a pick-up time and we had arrived 5 minutes beforehand to ensure we were on time. We ended up waiting an additional 15-20 minutes (after the established pick up time) for the boat to actually arrive. Again, the company itself asked us to set a time to be picked up and did not honour that time- did not even express concern that they were late. We were not in a rush and didn't care, but as the previous response to a review here was "Lol ur mad?", I feel that this is now necessary to add.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ last week we used Tofino Water Taxi for the 2nd year in a row. Michael was our driver both times. This guy is awesome - hands down the most friendly, informative, helpful staff member we met in any restaurant, shop etc in Tofino. He's just a super friendly guy that goes out of his way for you - the same person this year as a year ago. I mention this because its rare these days at a time when its hard to get anyone to work in the service industry, much less have them care about their customers. Not sure if Tourism Tofino has annual service awards but this guy should win. Cheers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to book, staffs are friendly. On the way back, we missed the agreed time, so we waited for an hour on the island during lunch hours. Understandable. However, when you see another taxi company came 3 times to pick their customers and your taxi service is still not there, the feeling was a bit complicated…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got a taxi out to Meares Island, Brandon was a great captain with fun insights into the area on our way out. It was very easy to work a return time with him and he showed up as scheduled for a ride back to the mainland, he even had perfect lunch recommendations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great experience! Took the taxi to Meares Island, called in at noon and they were able to accommodate our times with ease! Brandon who we spoke with on the phone was very nice and sweet. We were greated at the dock by Cali, what a gem! She was super fun and knowledgable! She told us the history of the area, advised us of the water currents (as we were planning on kayaking the waters at some point over the weekend). We had so much fun with her. Her interaction with the other passengers on our return trip was very lovely. She was gracious, compassionate and accommodating. She even stopped so we could photograph the group of seals. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience. We booked a last-minute trip (day of!) to Meares Island and they were able to accommodate us easily - even though we got a bit lost and delayed on the way to the meeting point for the return journey. Helpful, friendly, and very professional.
