We brought in twice as much fish of all species compared to other boats and Johnny organized a catch and cook dinner for us at the Wolf in the Fog restaurant. In addition to fishing, dinner was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be booking with Johnny again in the future.

In about two hours of fishing we caught 5 halibuts!! More than we imagined and grateful for Johnny as our guide. He knows the waters, the fish and where to go. My wife and I booked a full day early in the season to go after ling cod and rockfish as we have our own boat but mainly target salmon. John's boat Mega Bite offered a comfortable and safe ride and is kept very clean and tidy. All of his gear is top notch and he uses quality bait to maximize the chance of getting fish in the boat. John has unparalleled local knowledge, he grew up in Tofino and has worked as a commercial fisherman and tugboat captain in the area. His seamanship and passion for fishing exceeded all of our expectations. We had a fantastic time and are definitely going to book with John in the future.

His experience on the sea is the key to catching this many fish as he knows the exact spot for specific fish type. I would definitely have John as my guide for my next fishing trip.

Johnny runs a great charter, boat was set up perfectly for us all, lots of different supplies, great bait as well as new rods. Johnny knows all the hot spots and we came back to the dock with the catch of the day (week, or month even!?). The fish box was so full on the way back we had to stand!! haha. Great memories through and through, definitely will be back! thanks again Johnny!!

He patiently answered all my questions and even helped us print our fishing licenses since we were from out of town and didn't have one. I had reached out to Tofino Fish Guides and despite asking 3 times what boat we'd be on, they didn't answer my question. John took the time to make sure I had answers to everything I needed. We caught SO many bc spot prawns and crabs! I'd highly recommend booking a tour with John. I definitely will be when I'm in Tofino again. April and May seems to be the best time to go if you want prawns, crabs and to fish as well.
