★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We weren't able to choose the option of no overhead boat which would of been a lot more fun (and wet) as you would be able to have fresh air and see the whales better. Somehow we weren't able to choose that option at all and didn't even realize there was two different types of boats until we were on the boat.
Saw whales, sea otters, and seals in the distance (the other boat was WAY closer than we were!!). The Whale was pretty awesome!
Andrew had great commentary and was very informative!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went bear watching with them. Our guide was very friendly and informative. We saw good amount of bears. Guide shared a lot of valuable information about the habitat of bears in tofino area. I highly recommend this tour

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. What an experience, our guide Brayden took us on a tour around the island to go whale watching. Boy did he deliver. We got to see a bunch of Otters on the coast, learn about the history of the land and of course see whales. The captains are always in communication to see what's been spotted where and it makes things easier for us. The company is carbon neutral which is a big deal for me. I am a huge fan and will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great professional knowledgeable outfit who took great care of us. They needed to move our trip due to unforeseen circumstances and we switched to a kayak trip then weather looked bad and they accommodated us again and were so easy to deal with. They take into account all skill levels and really are passionate about what they do. We saw bears, eagles, porpoise, and many other types of sea life. Thanks Ocean Outfitters for an amazing day even my wife who was quite nervous to start can’t stop talking about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I had a beautiful experience on a whale watching tour in early May. Our guide, Braydon, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the local ecosystem - we both learned a lot! We really appreciate that the majority of our fee is used to support local conservation efforts. We would love to take another tour in the future! Thank for for providing such a lovely experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did a covered boat Clayquot Nature Tour over the Family Day weekend in 2022. The boats are not too large so you have a more intimate experience and they handle very well in rough seas. The boat captain was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and happy to adjust the tour to the preferences of those on board. Saw lots of otters, and sea lions on our tour but sadly we were a little early for whale season. This company returns all of its profits to conservation and activism initiatives so you can feel good about where your money is going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great bear watching trip out with Antony. My partner picked Ocean Outfitters because of their commitment to be carbon neutral. I appreciated learning about local history, and that Antony had a focus on not disturbing nature, animals, and local folks as much as possible. The priority was preserving the beautiful wild out there, and I appreciate that ethical tourism is the focus of this company.
We did see a mama and two cubs, and were able to stay and watch them for a good while, because of Antony's gentle approach into the bay and his respect and knowledge of the animals.
We were masked while in the boat, and I appreciate that Ocean Outfitters had these safety protocols in place.
I highly recommend Ocean Outfitters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our time with ocean outfitters! We had coffee, hung out in their lovely lounge area and decided to go on their afternoon nature trip to Meares Island. The guide was easygoing and informative, and every step of the trip was effortless. Would highly recommend them, for coffee or excursions!
