S	Shelby's Shitzu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're going to emerg it's horrible if you have to stay. You are 1 of 45-75 patients waiting for a bed. Most patients get better and get discharged from emerg before even coming close to getting a bed. Most of the nurses are great but watch out because some are very cranky and take it out on you. Same thing with the doctors. But if you are scheduled for a procedure and they're prepared for you then you're okay until you try to eat the food. I've had some pretty bad hospital food but this is worse than dog food and smells soooooo bad. If you can go somewhere else I would choose to go somewhere else. We had 3 hospitals and now have 1 that's toooooooo small, toooooo underfunded, toooooo overcrowded.

The staff is very hard-working and constantly on the run to provide professional service to patients. I very much appreciate their engagement to deal with all sorts of patients and needs. Thank you!

D	Dee Edding on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I dropped off my Aboriginal nephew and his non-Aboriginal girlfriend at ER at 2:30 pm. He's still waiting and she's already in to see a doctor. (Mind you, he is has severe lung and breathing problems). I'm hoping and praying he doesn't die while waiting to see a doctor. Such a double standard when it comes to first nation's people in this city and the TBRHSC. SMH!!

His complaints are black tarry stools, ( red flag here) severe fatigue, severe gastric pain, palpitations and increased sweating. In addition, his extreme fatigue was getting worse . I suspected he may be having a gastrointestinal bleed and that is why I recommended he present to emergency . ( I am 2000 km away , so I was not able to help him) He had lab tests done last week which showed abnormal low iron, high platelets ( abnormal) but ferritin was normal.He was not able to see his regular doctor until next week. Plus, my son is attending University and is under tremendous stress. The emergency doctor told him there was nothing wrong with him because his ferritin was normal. However, ferritin levels are not always reliable.A physician must look at clinical correlation and signs that a patient presents, in addition to lab work and listen to his patient. I am not impressed with the outcome of this visit. I hope that there are no negative consequences to my son’s health as a result of this premature dismissal. I am not impressed with the quality of this professional’s lack of support and understanding.
