★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never written a negative review until now. I had a great vet in Barrie but I decided to switch to this place because I thought supporting local businesses was important. Unfortunately this local business did not support me when my dog had an emergency. On Friday April 1st my dog collapsed as a result of her enlarged heart. I immediately called and explained her condition and was told that there are no appointments available — how do I schedule an emergency?
I asked what am I to do and this employee said to attend the animal hospital in Barrie. This location is approximately 1 mile away and the hospital was approximately 10 miles away.
As I arrived at the hospital the vet saw my dog immediately and tests were administered within moments. Unfortunately the diagnosis was bleeding around the heart and she was in shock with her temperature dropping.
Sadly I had to say goodbye to a truly loved member of my family.
I believe the outcome was inevitable, however, I will never forget how my new vets office didn’t support me during this emergency. Shop local- no thanks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won’t take my animals anywhere else. Dr. Tom and his staff are wonderful. My old cat Ethel (15) has always been a delicate little thing. Not having had the best start in life. As a kitten she was found in a garbage bag and brought to the Alliston Humane Society, where we adopted her several weeks later. On June 1st I brought her to the clinic to have a swelling on her face looked at. It was an abscessed tooth. Dr. Tom did surgery on her that same day!! Due to her age and tiny stature I was worried. But I got the call later that afternoon to come and pick her up! She is now home safe and sound. Thank you Dr. Tom and your terrific staff!!
