โ โ โ โ โ So disorganized, mismanaged and inconsisent. Yoga has the lowest priority and needs to be improved at Thompson CC. Sometimes the yoga place of practice is not ready and on occasion, instructor Kirstin and participants have to help set and clean up in order to have a class. When it comes to yoga, one wants to be zen and not have to be stressed about where to go for class and if it has been set up for yoga or even if the yoga teacher (not Kirstin) will show up. If not for Kirstin who is the best I would have gone elsewhere to practice yoga. I continue to practice yoga at Thompson CC because of Kirstin who never disappoints and sets a gold standard for yoga teacher.

โ โ โ โ โ Been using the fitness centre last 6 months. Excellent Covid prevention protocols. They've spaced out all the equipment throughout the entire facility so lots of room and equipment available! Easier to book than other facilities as well, not as busy as other places.

Update 2022: the community center is getting a 900K makeover. During construction, a temporary washroom trailer are put in use. Construction is set to complete by summer 2022.

โ โ โ โ โ Whenever we come to this community center to go to the games room, they're always having a meeting. It seems like they don't have an office or anything. And when you walk in they just stare at you. Like hello, close the door, or put a sign that says "meeting in progress". When I ask the front if we can go in they say "sure", but there's actually a meeting in progress. It's like they don't tell the front desk anything that's going on. Other than that, overall it's a nice community center.

โ โ โ โ โ Thompson Community Center is a nice place for the community. They have child and youth programs, adult activities and support both members and non-members. There is an area to just sit and chill, work a little or have a nice simple lunch. There are sports activities and some bookable rooms for events (Kids Birthday Parties with staff activity centres for under $300.00). Parking is pretty decent with lots of spots. They have bike racks and are on a major bus route. There is a helpdesk but they also have an online presence from the City of Richmond website.

Also great for small kids, the playground is very well kept.
Dog friendly place as long as it's leashed at all times.
People seem to be careful in distancing (for the most part).
You can also find stink bugs sometimes.
