★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very happy with our tour today. I think my mother in law would like living here very much. Helping to keep a dementia patient engaged is a challenge, however I think there is enough for her to do to keep her occupied if she wants to do something. The staff also seem very caring. Hopefully this can be her new home. Just as a side comment, someone posted about bathing......I would be thrilled if my mother-in-law bathed twice a week, however with a dementia patient you get what you get. It's silly to me that someone would dismiss a facility because the bathing requirement is twice a week? I'm sure if there was an "accident" of some kind, that person would be given a shower. Sandalwood is my first choice and my hope is this will work out for us.
