About Brooke

Brooke has many passions: her family first, her practice second, and rock-climbing (or walking barefoot, or slacklining – the list goes on!)  to round off her top favourites. Way back in the early 2000s, a second knee surgery forced Brooke to re-think her exercise practices. After many other trials, she decided to give this ”lying-down” exercise (Pilates) a try. It was completely different than her usual go-to exercises, but it was fantastic! Brooke’s knee felt stronger than it had in years, and she was able to go back to some of her normal activities without pain or restrictions. Her instructor encouraged her to become a certified instructor with Stott Pilates and over the next 15 years, she followed a natural progression to specializing in working with those who have movement restrictions or difficulties. In 2017 she was excited to be one of the last classes to graduate as a Restorative Exercise Therapist after training with Katy Bowman (Biomechanist) at the Nutritious Movement Centre and more recently completing her Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP). Brooke has worked in two physiotherapy clinics helping patients who have “graduated” from Physiotherapy but still need to find a way to move better – safely – and to bridge their exercise programs.

She loves helping people understand how to move their bodies and feel empowered by focusing where they are strong and allowing that to stand as a foundation to support other areas of their body that may need some extra care and attention. Helping her clients focus on their strengths and restoring movement has been incredibly rewarding. It takes a village to raise a child and sometimes it takes a team of passionate experts to help people restore movement to parts of their bodies that need support. Brooke is so excited to be working with the entire team at The Samadhi Tree to help patients find new possibilities for movement!
