★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food bank staff are usually friendly and well informed of their stock and duties.. Access centre staff do not follow their own guidelines and cause more altercations than needed. Income tax staff refused to call CRA for my information and now I don't have my taxes ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service low income tax preparation. These people really help people trying to cope with life, evictions homeless, abuse. They guide people to other services, they have a fund for loaning in eviction cases. The thrift store has been running long before thrift became fashionable.

I love the food pantry, that acts as a grocery store, whereby individuals can pick what they want/need based on preference, and necessity. This is brilliant, and saves a lot of waste.
I am always treated with kindness, and it is a judgement free zone. This helps, because it is really hard to be vulnerable, and ask for help with food insecurity. It is not a nice feeling to go hungry. Without Kingstons Salvation Army, I would have went without many times.
They do as much as they can to help everyone in need. Vouchers can be given to assist with home furnishings, clothing, other necessities of daily life, especially when starting over. They also provide tax services for individuals without charge.
Also, during the rise of Covid 19 cases in Kingston, they had volunteers deliver gift cards to individuals in quarentine, in place of the usual Christmas hampers! See what I mean? They do go above, and beyond to make sure people, in need, do not go without!
