Despite the reviews, I went and wasn't disappointed. The food and drinks were good. Our reservation was confusing, and they figured it out. Service was slow but I don't think they have a lot of staff right now. Bigger groups can't enjoy the upper outdoor deck area, so keep that in mind. Only downside was that we overheard one staff member berate a co-worker about pushing tables together on the deck space. Think that I'd rather not have heard that, and I felt sorry for the waitress. I would go again, especially on a warmer day.

This was always a great spot however the new management took everything to another level! They completely renovated and modernized the entire space. The staff are friendly and very attentive, their new menu is full of great options the food was absolutely delicious!!! I would give them 10 stars if possible. The patio is a really nice atmosphere overlooking the water. If you have not been here you need to check it out. I would highly recommend to anyone! Keep up the great work!!!

Wow! What a beautiful location, right on the waterfront overlooking the marina. It's a great place for a restaurant, especially with the views. I've been meaning to come here since they opened in early 2020, and then the pandemic happened. Some friends had offered to take me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday and it seemed like a great opportunity to finally come here. We were seated on their upper deck covered patio. Unfortunately, our experience left a lot to be desired. A LOT! We had scouted their menu online, which was one of the factors in choosing this place. It looked good, with a few items appealing to me. Once seated, however, we were given photocopied versions of a condensed menu that lacked the items I was looking forward to. To make it worse, several of the items listed weren't available. Even worse, we had to ask for another drink menu because the one we got was faded and illegible. Our server brought over two crumpled and creased pages. This should have been a sign... To get things started, We ordered a bottle of wine and a couple of beers. We also ordered a couple of Calamari dishes to get us started. A significant amount of time had passed since we arrived, since we had ordered, and since our drinks finally arrived. Most noticeably, the top third of the Stella glass was all foam - not to the standards set by Stella Artois. See attached photo. The wine was good, even though our server held the corkscrew under her arm while peeling off the foil top. The calamari finally arrived and looked like a decent serving until we discovered it was sitting on a bed of fries. This wasn't mentioned in the menu and it made the serving look larger than it actually was. To make things worse, it was dry and a bit overcooked. We suspected this was frozen food. The skinny fries were actually decent. Of the available items on the rest of the menu, four of us chose the K.F.C. (Korean Fried Chicken) and one chose the Chicken Wings. Our food finally arrived, most of it anyway. One order of K.F.C was missing and we had to remind our server. When it finally arrived, it was not as hot as it should have been. Was it just sitting on the kitchen counter? Don't know. The portions were very generous and the flavours were decent but both the wings and K.F.C. were oversauced. With it being my birthday, we contemplated dessert but most of it was unavailable. Skipped. Overall, our evening at The Sailing left a lot to be desired, not just the food, but the service. Unfortunately, I just don't think the staff knew any better. It shouldn't take 2Β½ hours to have the dishes that we ordered. The time that we spent waiting for food allowed us to observe a few things. Every item, from appetizer to entree was served in the same wide-rimmed pasta-style bowl - at every table within view. The food arrived before our cutlery. The same at nearby tables. We also had to ask for water. These should have been at the table as we were seated. Maybe candlelight would have been nice? As it got darker and they finally turned on the lights, we saw the ceiling above us and the wall behind us was covered with bugs, spiders and webs. Powerwashing and maintenance could remedy that. The female servers that we observed, had extra long painted fingernails, in contradiction to Ontario's Food Safety Guide. I have over fifteen years of experience working in hospitality management. Most of that time was working at a high end banquet facility where my responsibilities included training staff and enforcing standards. I see things that the average customer may not see and I can tell you, this place does not meet the minimum standards.

First patio outing from the lockdown and decided to try this place since we’ve never been. I did enjoy their pear pizza with Gorgonzola cheese and our hostess was very nice. My only concern is that one of the waitress giving us our food did not have her mask on properly. She fully put her mask down while serving our food which makes me not want to go back again. I know it’s tough for restaurants now but things like this must be done properly as someone who wants to feel safe eating at a restaurant.

This is such a great place for friends’ gatherings, special events, or just spend a relaxing evening by having dinner on the top floor patio to overlooking the water、the sailing boats. The food are soooooo good! I am amazed by some of their creative dishes such as the fried ckicken、the pearl pizza, the shrimp burger and so on. The place is very spacious. It can easily hold about 100-150 guests I guess, or even more. You won’t be disappointed with the food, the view, the ambiance and the friendly staff. A place you must appreciate if you come to Great Toronto Area! A 5 of 5 experience. Love it ❀️

Food is amazing. With open view of Lake Ontario, luxury experience. All food we ordered are tasted. Highly recommend Gorgon Pear Pizza, taste like a dessert, sweet and creamy. House made BBQ chicken wings are a must try.

Great view, friendly staff who were very attentive. The best calamari I've ever had. Everything we ate was amazing. It would be nice if you added umbrellas to the tables that weren't protected under the shade.
