K	Kasha Kostrzewa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the 1/4 chicken dinner and it was so good! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. I opted for no BBQ sauce and the seasoning on it was really good. It was a bit of an unexpectedly long wait as they made it fresh, but without even asking or complaining I was offered complimentary corn bread. And oh my... that stuff is dangerous. The corn bread was SO GOOD. My only complaint really was that the woman working there was a bit rude while I was ordering my meal and said it would only be a few minutes to make. However like I mentioned the manager was so kind which made up for it!

This wasn't my first time, so I was surprised that, this time, the food was NOT fresh. The fries were overdone and clearly microwaved and cold on arrival and the ribs reheated. I called to complain to make the service better for the next person. But, I was met with a defensive manager who made excuses like "we don't microwave our food" and "everything is made fresh" and she even tried to blame the Uber driver. I received no apologies or accountability for my experience. She did manage to offer me a credit before hanging up abruptly on me, as if I would be ordering from this place again. I won't. I found the lack of accountability for my experience distasteful. And my burnt containers confirm their lies. Here are photos of my experience.

Horn Dawgs is the only place I'll willingly eat white meat chicken and not cringe - the meat is moist and juicy, never dry! The brisket is also soft and delicious, my fave way to have it is actually without the BBQ sauce, (I don't like sweet savoury foods.) I've enjoyed it on it's own, brisket poutine, and brisket sandwich, all are fabulous and I highly recommend it to everyone. Hubby really likes the chili fries as well. Everything is done extremely well.
N	Nathan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So don't get me wrong, the food is great. And by no fault of the restaurant my wife had a moderate allergic reaction. The reason for only 2 stars is that when I inquired for the ingredients used my wife's meal so we could figure out what caused it, they said they would email me w them no problem. Two weeks go by and no email so I call again and talk to a manager. He assured me that they would have the ingredients to me quickly. Well were 6 weeks from when my wife had the reaction and I've yet to get that email. Is what it is, but I won't be going back.

The fries where great but the coleslaw a vinegar base vs what I like which would be more of a sweet creamy coleslaw but that's my personal preference. The portion size for the pulled pork was a lot (especially for southern BBQ) Overall, it was great and I would definitely go again. (Update) Tried the ribs dinner with mac and cheese, everything was amazing!!!
D	Duke Gray on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Daaaaaamn gooooooood!!! One of the best BBQ places to go to and just inside Pickering! Great prices, loads of food! Nice people there. We go often enough whenever the craving hits us. We did the two pigs and a cow sandwich, the 3 loaded tacos and the beef brisket poutine. Deeeeeestroyed all of it!!! Taste is just divine!! Nothing dry or hard at all! Texture, quality, amounts.... All good!!! We'll be back for sure!!!

It's supposed to come with 2 medium sides but the "medium" Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes would be comparable to an individual size to most bbq places. The picture shows it all and I placed the sauce container beside it for reference. We now have to play rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to eat the Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes... Oh and there are only 7 wings so if this feeds 5 people it means 1 wing each and then a fight to death for the last two... The meat is decent, nicely cooked but if you're going to order here know that the side portions are tiny so you'll likely have to order more to feed your group.
