I can't say enough about Paul and Rightman Plumbing. We have used them exclusively for the past three years and we have always had a positive experience using them. From the the individuals who work for them, to their fair pricing, their responsiveness, and to them cleaning up after a job when they are finished. Highly recommended and a pleasure to deal with, every time. Quality work, quality people.

In September 2015 we had a Rinnai RL75i Tankless water heater (non condensing) installed by "The Right Man Plumbing & Gas Company" who claimed to be a certified Rinnai installer. In November 2018 the unit gave us an error code 11 (would not heat water) which "Right Man" could not resolve without Rinnai's technical support help. We were told the problem arose from the flame rod/ignitor assembly being covered in "soot". At the time we claimed that soot is not a normal combustion byproduct and that there must be a problem with the installation or the unit itself was faulty (Rinnai Case No. 321500). "Right Man" claimed the unit required regular maintenance, despite telling us they did not require this in the initial sales pitch (we have it in writing from Paul Blais, "The Right Man" co-owner). Rinnai also claimed it was a maintenance issue, but compensated us for part of the service call as a good will gesture. No photos or other details of the installation were sent to Rinnai at that time. However, Rinnai told us that "The Right Man" was not a certified installer and sent us a link to their web page that listed all "Rinnai Certified Pros". "The Right Man" was not listed there. The same problem reoccurred in the fall of 2019. We resolved it ourselves by cleaning the flame rods and noticed the gasket around the assembly had been damaged by the previous service (Right Man). We ordered and installed a new flame rod assembly. Now in 2021 the unit gave us an error code 12. This time we decided to have a Rinnai Certified Pro diagnose the problem and inspect the unit since we wanted a second opinion on the installation by a Rinnai certified technician (Right Man was not listed on their web site as certified). They found that the unit had incorrect DIP switch settings for the length of vent pipe (they were in contact with Rinnai and have a service ticket for March 17th visit) and upon further diagnosis found the heat exchanger to be corroded due to condensate draining back into the unit (no condensate trap was installed). The condensate was also being vaporized by the burners, causing a grey-white powder (incorrectly labelled as "soot" by Right Man) build up on the flame rods. We were told that, as installed, the unit would not function properly. Due to the high repair cost and possibly unknown hidden damage (corrosive condensate had been draining back into the unit for 5 years) we decided to have the unit replaced by an actual Rinnai Certified Pro. Paul Blais claims the unit was installed correctly and that all of these units have condensate problems and can fail. We sent photos of the installation to Rinnai and received a written reply (Case #429692) from their technical support that the unit was not installed correctly. We also have a written reply from Rinnai stating that "Right Man" is not nor has been a Rinnai Certified Pro to their knowledge (still not as of July 2021 according to Rinnai's web site). The original unit was suppose to have a service life of 15-20 years and we had about 5 (not trouble free) years, which is at best one third of the unit's expected lifespan. After spending $3400 on the initial installation we had to spend another $4000 for a new unit, never mind the cost of service calls and parts. Choosing "The Right Man" was a very costly decision for us.

Could not have been happier with my service from Rightman, they scheduled an appointment, called the day of to ask if they could come early and fixed the job in less than an hour. Very reasonable price as well. Great customer service from the woman on the phone (sorry I can't remember the name) and from the technician who arrived on site. Will use again for sure and 100% would recommend to others.

We have had Paul and his company come in since we moved into our home in 2017, and they have done a great job each time. The last few times, his crewman Blair has come in and done a fantastic job with our water heater and shower unit. They do get busy, but they always make sure that the job is completed on the day they come in.

Didn’t seem interested in my business. I had to follow up with my request over and over and was given different answers each time so we moved on. (Contacted them in Nov 2021 - still no estimate or appointment or timeline)

I needed a gas range installed on extremely short notice. Diana and Paul went above and beyond my expectations, getting the permit and completing the work in just over a day! I couldn’t be happier with the service and would highly recommend them!

Hi, I used this company in a time frame around 2011. He came in to setup my fire place. He "finished" the job, charged the hourly rate. I tested it immediately and it didn't work as it should. So I called him, he was on the road at the time and returned within 20-30 minutes to fix it. He billed me AGAIN to come back and fix it - when he didn't do a proper job in the first place. I was uncomfortable with paying the second amount. This experience stuck with me for 10+ years. Left a bad taste in my mouth everytime I see his trucks. At the end of the day, the fireplace works as it should - so he did complete the work. Just billed me double.

Recommended. The Rightman Co. did the initial installation of our gas appliances including fireplace, stove, furnace, dryer, and water tank. Over the years they checked our water tank, maintained the furnace and fireplace. Fast forward 13 years and it came time for our water tank replacement. We were quoted on tank replacement vs. on-demand. We opted to go with the Rinnai RU199 on-demand option. This involved upgrading our gas line. We love our house and wanted it done 'right'. The installers did a great job figuring out what was going where and how to make this retrofit 'neat'. I was impressed by how everything was installed and fastened down in an organized fashion. Bravo and thank-you.
