About The Preferred Perch - Bird Feeders & Rocks & Crystals
The Preferred Perch opened in November 1995. It began as a very specialized store dedicated strictly to the hobby of feeding wild birds. A wide variety of bird feeders, houses, and premium foods along with other specialty feeding accessories were carried. By the year 2000, many changes took place in respect to the products offered. The store branched out adding many nature related gift items catering to birders, gardeners, and cottagers. Since then, the store has continued to diversify and add many new items throughout the years, all offerings of, and related to nature.

The owner of this store is very knowledgeable and patiently guided me through everything I needed to know. I now own a great collection of bird feeders and even a heated bird bath because im addicted to this new hobby. If you want anything bird related this is the place to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me & my dad have been longtime customers of the Preferred Perch and we've always gotten our seed and supplies for the birds at the lake from Sherrie...with 6 black oil seed feeders - 5 Hummingbird feeders and 2 Oriole feeders we are always in need of supplies especially for my Ravens..sadly my dad has passed away recently which will make the first solo visit without him very hard...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first time shopping here and it could not have gone better! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful (even carried my seed out to my truck). Big Box stores basically sell you sparrow feed. The quality feed you get here brings all the birds in the neighborhood calling. My Blue Jays say thank you!! Can't wait for spring now to fuel up our returning friends...Thank you so much! :)

Wide variety of quality crystals and rocks, gift items, and other metaphysical stuff are available. There's so much stuff to look at and I always end up shopping a lot! Sherri is also pretty awesome, she shares her wisdom all the time with the customers. She's super knowledgeable of the items that she's selling! The staff are super helpful as well. It's absolutely enjoyable place to shop!

GREAT PRICES , and they have RARE crystals stuff you CANNOT find anywhere else and it’s all amazing prices. owner is SO nice I love it here and it will absolutely become my go to store! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't been into Preferred Perch for quite awhile as the birds have been absent near my Ft Richmond over the last few years.
Happily this year we have been blessed with dozens of goldfinches and siskins as well as about 8 orioles so I made a stop at PP for a new orange and grape jelly feeder and a nyger mix for the finches
As in past years PP did not disappoint; lots of selection in feeders and feed and some great gift options.
Always great to see the support that Sherrie provides to local merchants an my oriole feeder was from a local supplier.
Service was excellent including a friendly carryout to my car.
If you want to attract the birds PP is the place to go. Well worth the trip. #shoplocal
