C	Celia Payne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really love the live piano player; and the variety of fresh and packaged items at the Market Garden. Without fail, when other tea shops have been out of pu'erh, the Market Garden has been stocked, and stocked with fine quality tea. We enjoy the labyrinth nature of the market's set-up, as each aisle and recess holds surprises and fine quality items to explore and learn about. We have also witnessed a kinship and genuine friendliness among some of the regulars and staff. If deli meats and cheeses are of interest to you, then you have to visit the market as there is a vastness and a great variety to the stock, that no other place in Victoria can rival. Fine chocolate, pasta, whole vanilla beans, specialty produce, vegan items from the freezer section, cookies, special crackers and tea, are just a fraction of the items that we enjoy sourcing the market. (During the Christmas season the list of enjoyed items easily doubles.) There is a sit-down area, and a personal items / housewares area that we will be returning to more fully explore, and we find that parking is always available and store hours are reasonable. It is a joy when we get to visit the market.

This store orders new stuff in constantly, I hope they get a good return on their orders because the quality items that are constantly stocked is impressive. For example, if you're looking for the best first cold press extra virgin olive oil, I'd bet you'd find it here. The produce and meat is nice too. Bond Bond's Bakery is awesome. When in season they have lots of different types of garlic, which I like because they all have unique flavours, I theorize they buy this garlic from the same man at the Esquimalt Farmers Market. Good stuff. Have been coming here since day one and glad to see how it's progressed!
B	Breathe, the time is now on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most beautiful grocery store I have ever been to. It's truly a feast for the eyes, and clearly has artists designing the space. They have lots of interesting items, and fresh local produce. They are more expensive than a regular grocery store chain (Avalon chocolate milk, for instance, is $2.00 more here than at nearby Save-On), but if you can afford it, it's great to support this local business. And did I mention that the store is BEAUTIFUL?

They have a great selection of chocolates, pasta, herbs and spices, deli meats and cheese and also a nice selection of organic vegetables. Also a huge display case of candied fruits.

Instead I was greeted by a literal maze of products, with a deep selection of local goods. We’ll be back! Just tested the olive oil I bought on a whim. We were running low and I wanted to try something a bit different. Quite an overwhelming wall of olive oils to choose from. This one was one of the least expensive and seemed worth a try. Well, it is wonderfully fruity and full of aroma. I think it will do well on salads.

I honestly can’t think of anywhere that matches or exceeds the quality and selection. Truly incredible, the exquisite offerings are just amazing! Many vegan items around the shelves and frozen, including local, BC and international brands. Fresh fruit and vegetables also. Prices, in general, are on the high side, but it’s a pleasant shopping experience and they sell quality products.
