★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome little place the man was so friendly allowed our dogs on the patio and even brought them a bowl of cold water.. drinks were super quick and tastey food was also delicious and very quick!! Perfect stop for lunch for our group!! We will be back! EVerything is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm from South Carolina and me, daddy, and my brothers would come to Nestor Falls for some deer hunting around the end of August. One of my favorite restaurants was the Lawg Caybun. I see the name has changed to Log Tavern. The food was great and has some of the best hot chocolate that I have ever had. I hope to go back someday. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Log Tavern is a warm and welcoming place to stop for some rustic grub. My husband and I were camping at the nearby Caliper Lake Campground, and made the short drive to Nestor Falls for breakfast. It was a quiet weekend, so we were the only folks dining that morning. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Good music playing, with a variety of sports muted on the big screens. Our food was quick, generous portions, tasty and piping hot. This isn't a gourmet or fancy place to eat, but they'll make sure you're happy, full, and refill your coffee to go when you leave.
I don't know if our travels will ever bring us back to this area, but if they do, I'll come back to The Log Tavern to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not the old Log Tavern 2.0, it's under new management this year and has been renovated and looks great.
Lots of parking and is accessible via the ramp onto the patio and then into the restaurant.
Open for breakfast at 7 am and for lunch with a nice varied menu, and also service for the evening crowd until 2 am.
An extensive bar selection and a large choice of over 30 beers to choose from. A number from Lake of the Woods brewing company too!
The meal was hot and delicious, I had fish and chips while my partner had a chicken wrap with fries, both were delicious. The fish was real walleye and was a large serving of two big fillets.
Worth the stop in Nestor Falls or as a destination for a morning or afternoon trip. The price for two to dine includes beverages.
