The Loft Toronto

So thrilled with my experience at The Loft! The space is gorgeous, the staff and stylists are super sweet, talented, gracious and accommodating and I'm so happy with the way my hair turned out. Aki coloured and cut my hair and I will be coming back to her for good now. Wish I'd found this place sooner!

I had an amazing experience at Loft! First time at the salon and the whole experience was smooth. It's evident they really care about their clients and making everyone feel safe. I was impressed with all of the safety precautions in place and how they were communicated before my appointment. Oh, and if you have curly hair - you have to see Bob (for cut and colour)! Highly recommended.

I came in to this salon as a first time client for a creative colour. The booking process included messaging the stylist via social media with a picture of my virgin uncolored hair and an idea of what I wanted. When I first inquired, I asked if I would require two sessions in order to achieve my desired colour. I was not told I would. Excitedly, I booked my appointment. The colouring process itself was pleasant, staff were nice and my stylist was friendly. However although I raised concerns about my dark hair before the colouring process began and during the process when I noticed the purple dye looked dark upon application, I was told the colour would come out vibrant. The results were disappointing and not worth the $400 it costed me. While I understand that hair colouring is tricky and unpredictable, I think stylists should really encourage first time customers to do a strand test in order to avoid disappointing results, as well as throughrougly understand the expected results from customers and set adequate expectations. I would have been more than willing to have two sessions had I been encouraged. If I had been told my expected results weren't achievable I also would have just not gone through it and saved my money. I also think this salon should have better policies in place so that when a first time client like myself who came in excited and illusioned, leaves disappointed and disheartened, they are more willing to return rather than leave a mediocre review because there is nothing to be done for them. To summarize, if you have dark uncoloured hair please do your research before booking at this salon! To me it seems I paid mostly for a hair treatment rather than for colouring, which might not seem like a bad thing, but I was really excited to leave with some fun vibrant purple hair and instead I left the salon with few blue strands and purple that is only really visible in the sun. For the price paid, I expected visible vibrant colour in all lighting (outdoors and indoors) specially after raising concerns priorhand.

Just moved to Toronto and was recommended to see Emily. I’m so happy with the results. I have stubborn hair that has historically been difficult to lift. She explained that it’s important to pull thinner sections of hair to ensure maximum saturation. It worked! I love the colour and the cut. Plus, she made me feel very comfortable and taken care of.

I love this location and the staff here. Friendly and fun environment. As soon as you arrive you are warmly greeted and asked if you’d like anything to drink. The chai there is excellent and not to mention they serve it in the prettiest teacups. I have really long hair and am always hesitant to cut my hair but I have not been disappointed coming to this place. Cuts and colour are beautiful.

First time going to the loft for a cut. My hair needed it badly from bleaching. Was very nervous about getting it cut really short but she did an amazing job. Great conversation, very kind and caring. Jessica even made a heart out of my cut up pink hair on the floor lol it was cute. I know where i will be going when i need a touch up.

I went there today! Paige did my haircut. She’s very patient and very thoughtful, she’s also very lovely! I like her laugh, hahahahaha! She’s so happy! I love my haircut she did for me too! Since today was my first time visit, I felt little bit shy to take pictures? but next time I will take! I love The Loft’s environment and settings!

Paige is a great hair stylist especially with creative cuts. They really took the time to listen to what I wanted out of my cut and color, communicated the limits of my hair type and how to work around them, checked in before making major snips to see if that was the length I wanted and overall just a chill person to talk to. Highly recommend
