โ โ โ โ โ I have been at this place with my dog for daycare...even walked away with sessions remaining. 2 reasons for leaving & for this review:
1. I find the owner nice BUT with TOO many "suggestions" on how to raise you dog, transportation, food..etc... I know she was trying to be helpful but has NO educational background on "Training" of dogs. After making a few gentle remarks to give her the hint I wasn't interested in her opinions, because we were working with a PROFESSIONAL trainer..she became very defensive. Just stick to running the daycare!
2. The daycare is more of a quite, sleepy, relaxing atmosphere...which is fine but dogs need play which I found she tends to NOT endorse (saw it with my own eyes..and that was it for us!

โ โ โ โ โ It took me a long time to decide to write this review. I like to support small business owners, but I feel like as a pet owner I would want the truth, so here goes.
The owner had a lot of negative things to say about my 11 month old puppy. Everytime I picked my puppy up i had to listen to about 15 minutes of all the things I should be doing with my dog and all the things wrong with my dog. Who, FYI, was potty trained, and had been to training classes and knew all basic commands. I was constantly being told to "practice calmness" at home. She didn't like the energy my dog had. My dog was excited to be there and play and socialize with other dogs. So if she is too energetic for the owner then she should only take in senior dogs who sleep all day and should have turned me away when i first walked in the door.
To top it off, a couple of times I picked up my dog at the end of the day, about 10 minutes early, and the owner got upset because I opened the door/made noise and woke all the dogs up, and her!
Great for senior dogs who sleep all day. Not good for dogs who have even a little energy.

โ โ โ โ โ Ursula has been taking care of our two pups, three times a week for the last 2 1/2 years. She is loving, thoughtful, caring and super-reliable! The dogs always look forward to going to โschoolโ!

โ โ โ โ โ The Lavish Lair is a wonderful place for your small dog. My dogs make friends and look so forward to going they are beyond excited. Ursula is so wonderful with the dogs mixing fun, training and teaching good dog manners. I can't recommend this, for socializing your dog, enough.

โ โ โ โ โ My dog Walter has attended for over a year now. He has grown so much socially and even learned a few additional commands along the way. He absolutely loves Ursula and playing with all his pup friends. Ursula worked with me very step of the way...from a pup who started by hiding under the table to a pup who now dances in circles at just the mention of going to doggie daycare. Ursula uses only positive reinforcement. I highly recommend and am so grateful!!
