The Home Depot

This store is one of the best Home Depot’s I have been to. The staff are friendly and they always seem to have what I need. The store is well kept and made inviting instead of intimidating with so many items on display. Keep up the great work.

There isn’t any option to give zero star so forced to give one star. We recently bought home appliances Refrigerator and Range from Burnaby location. The models which we wanted were not available for delivery within the same month so we had to go with much expensive ones and way over budget. Still we went ahead as upgrade was inevitable. After waiting for delivery for another week the delivery driver didn’t deliver our order and without even listening to us or trying went back. We helplessly watched him go. He even verbally abused my husband when we told him our driveway is sufficiently (7.8m) deep and his truck can fit well in there over phone. Same morning Home Depot’s duct cleaning truck came, did his work and left. But this driver was so adamant, lazy, disrespectful, and malinger. We had disconnected our appliances and had prepared everything for new ones to get installed. Now we have to reinstall old ones again. We moved at this location with 5 ton truck and had no issues. Home Depot didn’t even bother to do anything about it and didn’t even offer any alternative options. After spending thousands of dollars this is what we get. This is the worst customer service ever. Waste of money, time, efforts. Don’t ever buy big appliances from here and waste your time and money. Once they get their payment at order you don’t matter Home Depot. Beware of their false promises about delivery and hauling away promises. Not trustworthy.

The staff here were very helpful. I was walked through everything I needed and taken aisle to aisle to pick and choose all the required items.

I come here very frequently and have had many great interactions with employees in all departments. It seams like the work culture is good from the outside in. I just wanted to shout out Alec in appliances, super friendly and helpful. It was a very enjoyable experience. I tried finding a manager/supervisor to let them know that I had a good experience, but was unable to find one.

First time visiting home depot at the Burnaby location, and the experience was a mix of excitement and disappointment. Long story short, we are transforming our van into a motor home and aiming to live in it / travel across Canada, I have done most of the researches and know exactly what need to be purchased (price, SKU, location, name...etc all listed) Amazing part: Boun from the lumber department took his time to understand our need and gave us VERY constructive feedback with suggestion. Not only sharing the fact that he had a similar van life experience in the past, but also letting us know what kinds of parts and builds that we can use to improve our design. Boun is experienced, courteous and knowledgable, and we ended up spending more than $1500 for our first visit at this location (it's 30% over the budget, but we think Boun got his point and we will follow his recommendation), and will come back after to buy the batch 2-3 of the building material. Thanks Boun! There's another elderly gentleman in the electric section is quite helpful too! --------- Disappointing part: When we were at the lumber section (last aisle), before Boun showed up, we were seeking for help on: 1. Price check we found a lady(around 50-60years old), and told her there's a product without box/ SKU number nor signage, and asking if she could help us to find the price. The lady didn't bother coming (walking down the same aisle) and just ask me for the product spec. I told her that's the reason why I came, because there were no spec on the stack of wood. The lady didn't want to walk and said if I don't know then she wouldn't know neither. and just walked away like that. After we found two younger gentlemen who were just chatting, when I told them about my need, they just said they are busy with a customer and can come to us in 10 minutes, then continue standing there to chat. (They did show up later on, and just giving us general advice where we can find online, didn't bother asking the right question nor helping) (That's the moment when I almost want to abandon my cart, and just go to a different store to buy my stuff. It's just frustrating to shop here.....but then Boun showed up and made us feel appreciated) 2. Putting wood sheet and stud onto our cart After we finished shopping, we asked for help to load the stuff onto the van, and one of the younger gentlemen (same person from the lumber section) was called to help. Basically for the unloading part, he was just picking the stuff with me and just push hard into the cart without coordinatng with me (I'm on the van and lifting the other end) The young man dropped my insulation board and broke an edge. When pushing the wood stud, he damaged my van's first layer insulation too. In short, he did his job by giving us a hand, but caring or doing it right were not part of his job. ------- In summary, if we didn't meet Boun,. We would have rated this as 1 star and choose other shop to buy our stuff (around $4000-$5000 value), and never walked in here again.

I Love walking up and down the aisles of this Home Depot. It mostly has stock of popular items while other Home Depots are out of stock. All the department's have pretty much everything you need and more for any type of thing around the house. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and professional. Parking lot is always tidy and a lot of parking stalls, never had to take anytime to search for one. Great prices as well, and they will price match if a different store has the same product but cheaper.

i have been here sooo many times to just buy screws, nuts, bolts, shovels, bulbs, paint, batteries, drills, tapes, paint cloths, paint sprays, cleaning sprays, mop, orchid soil, etc...and everytime i ask someone they always have something to teach me BUT not everyone is good at explaining even if they are somewhat knowledgeable. and granted that I always do my extensive research to the point that I already know what i need, im glad i can cross check their facts as well...and so far i trust them. return policy is also awesome! i can try items out without worrying if i will keep it if i dont like it. they even have a washroom, self checkout, email receipts, and such. probably the only negative part is that it's a bit cold here because it's more like a warehouse because ALL of the items are stocked on the shelves. will always come back here. it's a very convenient place. always call ahead if you are thinking of final purchase what you saw online. most of the time online item count is correct BUT there is always customers picking items off the shelves and roaming around with it.

I came to this location today to pick up supplies for work and home, I really like how festive the inside was and how it was not too overwhelming to the point of not being able to move around freely but how it worked to lighten my spirits ?? Everyone who I asked for assistance from where very helpful and answered very quickly which I found very professional and the staff communicated very kindly with each other and with the other customers. One other thing I liked was how there was enough staff so I wasn’t wasting my time looking for someone to help me. Overall good experience I will continue to shop at this location. Thanks everyone!!
