Very nice food but the veggie dish supposedly « bigΒ Β» was actually a very small.portion. $22 was overpriced for something that looked more like a starter. You are entitled to have a full plate when vegetarian. Too bad because the food was actually really good. I had to order a bowl of fries after my « mainΒ Β» dish. Good place anyway, just don’t invite a vegetarian friend there..

One of my good friends told me to try the animal style burger as it is”the best burger on the north shore”…. All I can say is that this burger might be the best in Vancouver. They make it medium as the standard and you can also ask to have it well done if you prefer. On this occasion we had the beef carpaccio as well, which was outstanding, and washed it down with some beer and cocktails. The drinks are old fashioned and amazing. All I can say is wow!

I'm a dinosaur so I've been going to the "Gull/Rusty Gull" since its inception (1985 ?) The food and the mood have always been good However, time has passed and it seemed like a fresh beginning was in order, and that's just what they did "The Gull" as they call it now finished its Reno's and was now open for business I read somewhere there was a new menu and that the burgers were amazing (I'm a burger guy) Once every 6 weeks or so my boss and I try a new burger joint or pub and the Gull was next We were the first customers in that morning, we were warmly welcomed with ice water and the new menu There were only 3 burgers on the menu so I decided upon the "Animal Style" (Lettuce, tomato, American cheese, pickles, and burger sauce, my boss ordered the "Gull Style" (caramelized onions, brie, pickles, pickle mustard) Simple, the menus is simple and the burgers are simple but amazing, clean, quality ingredients and properly cooked, I have to say The Gull burgers are in my top 5 burgers and I've had a few the last item on the burgers and sandwiches list is the crispy chicken sandwich which I'll have to ravage another time by the time we paid up the top half of the pub was full, the lunch crowd had heard the good rumours of the lunch and showed up so...thumbs up for the Gull burgers I've already made plans to go in next week to try out the Pasta and the Pork Belly Nugz bottoms up y'all Michael Arnold Picture courtesy of (Hanna McLean/Daily Hive)

A hidden gem I would say. Read the reviews first and they did not exaggerate. One of the tastiest burger you’ll ever have. And they use organic meat too! The bun is so soft and melts in your mouth like butter. Burger so so juicy and the Brie with the caramelized unions are just perfect together. We tried the spicy fries and it’s quite interesting and has a kick to it. The atmosphere inside is cozy and very spacious which works great in Covid time. They have a cute patio outside. I’m taking one star of only because I felt some items on the menue were over priced. Friendly staff. Clean rest rooms. If you are a burger lover definitely try this place !

I love Lower Lonsdale restaurants but I was really surprised how I never saw this one. We enjoyed the vibe, the service and the food. Burger patties are in-house made which makes it delicious and jucy. Crispy chicken and beef carpaccio were really good as well. The downside was that washrooms were downstairs with lot of stairs which was not very desirable.

A friend of mine suggested this place and as soon as I looked at the menu I had to try it! We walked in without a reservation on a Friday night so we had to wait awhile (and the hostess was so nice and helpful about it!) but honestly, it was so worth the wait. The pork belly nugs were tasty and so melt-in-your-mouth tender, and I'm not usually a fan of kale salads but theirs has a dressing that's so delicious. The beef carpaccio was actually what I came for and I feel like you can't really go wrong with this one. Their weekly cocktail was pretty noteworthy as well. I'm not a fan of bourbon and I can't remember what else was in there besides cassis--maybe lemon? Cucumber? But it was so refreshing! Everyone in our party got a burger, and I seriously think this was the highlight of the meal. If you can handle heat, get their SPICY fries--so tasty! We balanced these with some regular fries which were also good. But I got the Gull Burger and honestly I think if I ever have a burger craving I'm always going to want one of these. You get the texture and flavour of some whole grain mustard in there, and I love brie. It was so melty but the burger tasted so juicy and fresh. Can't wait to come back here :)

Excellent food and a very solid selection of beer. Nice and spacious inside so you don't feel too crammed wherever you end up sitting. Very cool space for sure - only wish there were a few gluten free items noted on the menu!

Cozy interior, local beers, friendly service and most importantly... Delicious food! The burgers are ground inhouse, so the beef paddy isn't scorched to death. Comes to you a little pink and mouth watering juicy! Highly recommended stop. One thing to note, they also do some seriously good cocktails, the bartender knows what they are doing.
