I came with ideas and a general feeling that nothing out there in jewelry stores was really “me.” She took my concept and created the perfect ring that even a couple months later I still stare at dreamily. I plan on doing that forever and get her to make the wedding band as well. I’d share a photo, but then you’d want it too!

Starting last year, Tina and my then boyfriend designed a custom engagement ring for me, and this year we went on to design a custom wedding band. Tina was very helpful in helping us stick to our budget as well as being accommodating to my design changes. She helped us create exactly what I was looking for. The final product is just as beautiful as I had pictured it. Thanks again!!

C	Courtney Stanfield on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed with my experience this week. I booked an appointment to design a family ring. Upon arrival I was greeted and taken to Kat’s office. I sat there for more than 20 minutes listening to staff talk about this and that outside the door. It was only when I got up to leave they acknowledged me waiting. No one came by during that time to say they were running late or apologize for the delay. I understand things comes up but it should be communicated. When I decided it was time to leave Kat said “we usually book these appointments for an hour,” and yes, I planned on one hour but a third of that time was already wasted listening to her talk to other people. With two toddlers and a baby at home I couldn’t afford to make up the extra time. Kat also asked what I was there for when I was halfway out the door. When I booked the appointment I gave details on the project and anticipated she would have been prepared. Perhaps it was an off day but I didn’t get the impression they respect clients time or money. Custom pieces aren’t cheap and that money should be spent somewhere your business is valued.

When my longtime partner brought me home a store bought ring I loved the sentiment, however if I was getting a ring to wear as a symbol of our commitment to each other that was not it. After a heartfelt conversation we agreed that I would have my dream ring made. I did my research, looking online at portfolios of local jewelry makers and meeting with several. When I met with Kay at the Goldsmiths I knew from the start I was at the right place. We discussed the details and began the process of selecting a stone having a wax mould made. She truly understood what I wanted and made my dream come true. I was speechless when I picked it up as staring at a picture of my dream ring and putting on my finger was surreal. I’ll never take it off or stop admiring my special work or art. What an amazing experience and end result! I highly recommend The Goldsmiths and their experienced staff!! Tina
