D	David Baker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A huge thank you to The Garage, and specifically Carson! You saved our vacation (and maybe our lives?). We drove in from out of town, with a mysterious thumping sound and shudder. Worried about what it might be, we took it in to The Garage to get checked out. Carson very quickly determined that all the lug nuts on the driver’s side wheel were VERY loose. This could have ended in disaster. But instead they fixed it up in no time at all, and for a very reasonable price. Friendly and honest service!

T	Taylor Sharp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last year, after doing a road trip around BC, my partner and I unfortunately copped a dead alternator in Nelson, only a couple hours out of our eventual destination/home for the winter, Fernie. After ringing around to the other mechanics in town to see if anyone could get us in for a replacement, we were pretty consistently told there was a minimum 2-week wait for any car repairs across town as it was the time of year when everyone was swapping from summer to winter tires, and everywhere was booked out. After explaining the situation to the guys at the Garage, not only did they get us booked in, they actually called a few of their regular customers and asked to push their tire swap appointments a couple days, to make sure we could get back on the road as soon as possible. Our alternator died on a Friday- we were back in Fernie the next Tuesday, 4 days later. We were so grateful for the service we received at the Garage, and absolutely couldn't recommend these guys more- we've sent a few friends who've had car trouble in Nelson their way as well.

Derek helped me and he performed the inspection quickly and was friendly and helpful throughout the process. He went above and beyond by keeping my vehicle at the shop over the weekend while I waited for a tire to come in to pass inspection. This allowed me to sell my vehicle before it was finished so that I could leave Nelson and not have to wait around for the tire. Thanks!
R	Rebecca King on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I do not trust this garage. Took our car for a check up and was told the exhaust needed welding ($150) and u-bolt changing ($180). Booked car in and when I picked it up had a bill for $500. Mechanics did a bunch of unauthorized work. They had done the exhaust but didn’t seem to know anything about the suspension when I questioned them. They said they got the cars muddled up as “they had a lot of RAV4’s in at the moment’ and took items off the bill. Then said they could fix suspension and quoted me $330. When I queried the difference in price I did not get a straight answer and concluded they were trying to recover some of the lost revenue. He would not give me a copy of the invoice, quote or what he had done to my car claiming “it’s against company policy”. They also “fixed” the back fender which had fallen off but they have bolted it to the door well so we can’t open the rear passenger door. 0/10 would not recommend.

Was at Midas and was quoted over 3000$ worth of work and parts that needed to be replaced on a 1200$ truck, had the garage take a look at it because everyone from whitewater (my place of employment) told me about them and had them take a look and got everything done for under 1400! Almost half the price and these guys were fantastic to work with and let us know the real truth about our awesome truck! Definitely found out mechanic in town!
