★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thomas is one of the best language teachers I've ever had. He is fun, interesting, engaging, and REAL. He'll always answer your questions, he'll push you to try your hardest, and you'll leave the class actually speaking French! He provides a comprehensive introduction to the language which puts you on the right path to continue learning until fluency! I definitely recommend this course!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far the best French class I have ever taken. Thomas is gracious, smart, funny and makes learning French fun and much less intimidating than other instructors. I hope at some point he offers intermediate classes as I would love to take them. He also teaches words and phrases commonly used in Quebec which is incredibly useful. Take his class!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best French course I have EVER taken! Thomas is a fantastic teacher (and remarkably patient). If you're diligent, by the end of the course you'll be holding basic conversations - it blew me away that I was able to do that. The structure of the class and the way he teaches the material makes it really stick. His workbook has been my go-to for the foundations of French. I took another French course in graduate school afterwards and found myself going back to his assignments during that class ? I only wish he also taught more levels. If you're looking for the best French teacher you can find, he's your guy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thomas is easily one of the best teachers I've come across. His classes are quite engaging, humorous and frankly fun. French is a complex language, yet his material is easy to follow and he will go above and beyond to make the lessons interesting and provide helpful resources to check out on your own time.
I am not someone who enjoys being in a school setting yet I found myself looking forward to these classes every day. Not only you'll get a great introduction to the language with a fantastic teacher and laugh more than you'd expect, but you'll also meet other likeminded students that you get to constantly practice your French with.
Personally, I went in with no previous knowledge of French whatsoever and came out confident enough to have interactions fully in French and make sense of signs around the city.
I'm just sad I can't take all levels of French at The French School!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thomas makes his classes fun, super engaging and at the same time, full of French knowledge!! He has his own special way of teaching which makes you feel interested and attended to. You enjoy and actually look forward to going back for the next session.
Really amazing experience! If you want to learn French, this is the best place and he's the best guy!! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I arrived in Quebec I was very unsure where to start taking classes that wouldn't be too overwhelming, but a decent pace so I could learn fast enough to start looking for jobs (I'm sure others can relate with only one language as a background, trying to navigate their way around Quebec). Luckily, I found The French School in Montreal. Overall, Thomas is amazing working with people and the language, it really does not matter what your background is with him. He's very attentive with each student in his class, as he knows everyone's situation is uniquely different, the diversity is amazing and welcoming. Overall, Thomas has been a huge factor in helping my quality of life in Quebec simply by his dedication to the French School and it's students. I would definitely recommend the French School to those who are serious about learning the language with a very solid teacher!

I guarantee you will be great! I took this class and it was perfect for a beginner like me and has served as a great foundation for learning more. Thomas makes each class so memorable and enjoyable. If you start this class with zero prior knowledge of French you will be amazed by how much you learn in one month. Most people in my class were like me, new to Montreal, so the class is also a great place to make new friends. I highly recommend the course.
