β β β β β Came in for a Sun lunch and it wasnβt too busy, service was attentive (appreciated the refills of green tea without asking) but overall, we found the food average considering its price ($65~).

Takowasa w. crispy nori (4/5) - Extra points for the crispy nori, this really elevated the dish and the portion was quite fair. The octopus was fresh but there were parts of it that were chewier than I prefer.
Fresh salmon taco (5/5) - Couldnβt get a pic because my partner was hungry but he testifies that itβs super fresh and tasty with the crispy nori.
Napolitan pasta (3.5/5) - Tasted good but nothing stands out about the pasta in terms of flavor or ingredient quality for the price.
Yuzu salmon oshi (1/5) - This was the most disappointing out of all that we tried, the structure didnβt hold well and for some reason it was really oily - which overpowered any sort of flavor or freshness I was looking forward to. Would not recommend, Iβve had better at many other places.

β β β β β We went to the Flying Fish on a weekend around lunchtime and it wasnβt too busy. We got seated right away and the menu was through the QR code on the table. We werenβt sure why the lunch sets werenβt offered, maybe it was because itβs the weekend but usually their lunch sets are much more worth it.
The food came pretty quickly, we first got the fresh salmon ($8.45) and ahi tuna ($9.95) Nori Tacos. We loved the fusion aspect, the fish was fresh and nori was crispy which was such a cool mix. Next, we got the Wasabi cream Carbonara with bacon & mentaiko ($18.95) because we heard that it was a popular dish. It did not disappoint, the flavour of the wasabi cream was so interesting. You can definitely taste the wasabi but it wasnβt spicy. Lastly, we got the Unagi & Hotate Kushi with Yuzumiso(6pc) ($19.85). I loved the crunchiness of the deep fried rice with the cucumber, eel and scallop. I highly recommend this dish.
Our waiter was so kind, they refilled our tea multiple times. We never had to ask for them and they also checked to see how the food was. Great customer service! The only downside is that it is pretty pricey for the portion size. Overall, I do recommend the Flying Fish.

β β β β β Amazing!! Finally came to try them and they did not disappoint! The sashimi tacos were a nice fusion, I preferred the salmon as it was lighter and more refreshing, my husband preferred the seared spicy sashimi. The unagi was yummy as well, the green apple in it was a refreshing surprise.
Karaage has a light hint of honey garlic sauce and it's not heavy at all. Sushi tray was delicious as well. Very good overall

β β β β β Saw this restaurant opened up few years ago replaced a previous sushi restaurant and always wanted to try their fusion menu. We walked in on sunday night, 30min before last call and the server were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating . Had a wonderful experience and food taste was great! Their sushi taco is a must, wrapped with Crispy tempura seaweed! Ordered the fried soft shell crab with cream cheese maki that was special.

β β β β β Went here for the first time and have to say the food and service is amazing. Flavours were on point. Started of with two nori taco's then ended up ordering a third (yes that good). For the mains had a twelve piece sushi plate which the waitress was kind enough to explain all the items. Presentation of food was nice.

β β β β β A small restaurant with a Japanese fusion menu. Their food was very good with good service as well. I really liked the fried unagi scallop dish and the tacos, which was very filling and held together really well given the nori was a bit fried to keep the structural integrity and to get a little bit of a crunch. The fried chicken is Chinese style and very tender and the pressed sushi was decent too. Overall pretty good but a bit on the expensive end.

β β β β β Glad we made a reservation cuz once we arrived the place, was pretty much full! The food itself, was okay the sushi didnβt really stick out to us - the thing we came there for was for the sushi tacos so that was pretty tasty! I think maybe we ordered a little too much food, so we didnβt think it was super enjoyable (our fault). Something that really stuck out to us, was that everything seemed so oily especially the oshi sushi β¦ overall donβt think weβd come back unless itβs for the tacos but not worth the trip just for the tacos! The only upside was that everything was fairly priced so we may have went overboard on the apps!

β β β β β Great restaurant for sushi, came here with a friend to try their taco sushi. We ordered the salmon original and spicy sashimi taco. Absolutely delicious! We also got the sushi platter and torched scallop and eel sushi. The fish were fresh and the taste was spot on. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
