The toilets in this building are powerful enough to strip paint off a car and will go off randomly while you're doing your business ala sewer scene from The Goonies. The elevators are also sentient electromechanical trolls.

It just opened today. How can other reviewers comment on working there unless they were doing construction? It looks beautiful and unique. They managed to maintain actual heritage aspects inside and out as opposed to propping up a false front. The new and modern portion with the wavy rolling sea is eye catching and worth pausing to look at from various angles. So glad that Vancouver has a new style of building in the skyline. There truly is more to Vancouver than miles of green glass and shoe box hovels.

Am a big fan of Miku Toronto, and a regular customer. The Vancouver branch is great too, but the dessert lacked choices.

Was upgraded to this hotel as its sister hotel that we booked at was closed due to vacancy rates. Booked a staycation for my husbands birthday. The hotel itself feels secure (with concierge and card key access to room floors) and modern decorating against a Vancouver heritage buildings architecture. The staff member who we checked in with was the same one we checked out with. They were extremely friendly but asked a lot of personal questions which was a bit off putting. He gave us a choice between the last two rooms he had left saying that one had an architectural flaw with a large load bearing pillar directly in front of the window and also an adjoining door to the room next door, or we could downgrade to a much smaller room for 10$ less. Our room was beautiful when we first walked in, a wow factor reminding me of a luxury hotel room I stayed at in Las Vegas, but upon staying I quickly changed my mind. The bathroom has a fantastic open door shower with large rain showerhead and heated floors. The AC was pathetic and I found myself overheating even though the duvet blanket on the bed was paper thin. No extra blankets or pillows to be found in the room. Expired milk 2 go bottle of milk for the morning coffee and powdered otherwise so we just went to a nearby cafe. View behind the pillar was just of a building under construction so no loss there. Lots of different lighting all over the room but many light bulbs were dead. It had a sticker on the door crease saying it had been sanitized for our safety and confidence. When I opened the bedside drawer I found someone left behind a Save On More card and powder residue was all over the card and drawer. I took a photo of it as I was going to complain, but I didn't want the hassle of changing rooms and was too hungover in the morning to bother with how nice the staff person was. This led me to believe the rooms aren't as well cleaned as the sticker claimed. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay but we're unsure if we should stay here again until Covid 19 is over.

Our experience was an 11/10, the best part about it was concierge Geoff! He was a superstar who made our stay feel extremely comfortable and we loved chatting with him!! Give this rock star a raise!!!
