★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there for lunch yesterday. Everything was amazing (as always). It was a little busy, but you’d never notice. Our server was on the ball and super friendly. Our food was delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. This is such a gem in Cobourg!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute place with funky decor and a nice patio. We had the guacamole, paella and dirty rice bowl with shrimp. The guacamole was delicious, with corn chips brought in from the USA, our server, Maddie, told us. The paella was good and filling. My rice bowl was good but not amazing. However, we left very full. The burgers we saw going by look incredible so next time I'll be trying that.
I'm a cocktail girl so I really enjoyed the berry mojito and the margarita was classic.
Friendly staff and our server was fun and knowledgeable.
They were kind enough to give me a delicious shot for my birthday.
I'll be returning, for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an amazing lunch at The EL this past weekend and can't say enough about the food, the staff and the atmosphere. I know they did some wonderful renovations and then COVID hit so it's fantastic to see them open and having customers dining. I had the Angry Bird Sandwich with a side of Truffle Fries... my sister had the Memphis Bowl... presentation, flavour and meal size was just perfect! Thanks for a wonderful lunch and will be coming back for dinner in two weeks with some friends who have never been there before! I know they will love it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh La la!! The EL is simply one of the most mouth watering restaurants that you’d ever want to eat in. Alex (who has two master degrees btw) was superb at her service and suggestions from the menu. The owner his wife were very welcoming and best of all, their food is delicious. Their spicy “Angry Bird” and “Grilled Chicken & Brie” sandwiches are unexplainably tasty, even their salad and Brussel Sprout salad (big thanks for their chef!) A fruity beer “In the cloud” completed the deal.
Food, location, ambience, price, all summed up simply in one word “Magnifique!”.
We are definitely coming back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is something about small cozy restaurants in small towns that is so charming.
We chose to sit inside rather than out on the patio. And it was the right decision. Literally 5 minutes later we had the worst thunderstorm pass.
The small, but cozy, interior made it a nice setting. The beers on tap were all craft beer. Great ones at that. The menu was limited, but good selection.
The portions were good with food that tickled the taste buds.
Service was very cheerful and friendly.
Definitely worth visiting again foebthe overall experience
