It has been one of the best decisions I have made to date in my journey of continued love and positivity. The Cultural Arts Studio rejuvenated my love for music and dance!! It is truly a dynamic studio that offers not only amazing dance classes but wellness and fitness. I was a Movati member (which I enjoyed) for a number of years but that ended soon after I joined the Cultural Arts Studio. It swept me away, it gave me access to all the dance (Diva Dance, Soul Rhythms, Chaise, Saucy & Sweaty, Salsa), and fitness (Strong by Zumba, etc.) I needed in one place with music that moves you from different cultures, genres and eras, and of course to a professional staff of teachers/instructors. The aura this studio exudes is love, compassion, and we are all one family (amazing dance sisters). Thank you Suzan Richards Lavertu for your leadership and bringing your dream "The Cultural Arts Studio" to the community!!! I would highly recommend the Cultural Arts Studio to anyone!

I thoroughly enjoy being part of the CAS community where each member or visitor is welcomed with warmth, support and encouragement in expressing themselves while learning about Afro-Caribbean culture. Children in particular, are nurtured in the loving way of "It takes a village to raise a child." The "sisterhood" and "brotherhood" are very apparent at the first visit to this safe, beautiful place. I am excited to be part of this diverse studio.

I am both a student and a teacher at the studio, being part of this family has brought much joy into my life. Teacher Suzan is a local celebrity! She gives back in unimaginable ways, I've yet to meet anyone with a negative experience at the studio. I proudly broadcast my affiliations with The Cultural Arts Studio and encourage everyone, man or woman, young and wise, to visit Teacher Suzan as you will absorb the passion she has for her legacy and the community. Prior to that my daughter and I had danced at several other studios but the moment we started here, we knew it was so much more than just a dance studio! The sense for community and family we get from the teachers, owner and students is unlike any other. We dance because we love to dance, we dance HERE because it fills our hearts and souls with so much more! I recommend it to everyone I meet!

My daughter has also found a home here, learning more about her heritage that I could show her. I appreciate the positive energy & how it embraces every member that walks through those doors...from dancers of the age of 5 through to 75!! I absolutely appreciate the teachers, especially a retired teacher that convinced me at a time I wasn't sure it was my journey.....that it was. Thankful a place like this exists in our community.

I have been dancing with an amazing choreographer and mentor for the past 4 years.
