Wonderful experience. Great accomodations for a self-sufficent stay. Walk right into the national park. Lovely marsh with lots of waterfowl right out the front door. Wonderful natural sounds, great sunsets and sunrises and amazing night sky. Very helpful hosts.

We arrived at the Crossing to a warm welcome from our hosts Susan and Neil. Our suite was lovely from the cozy bedroom, a well supplied kitchen, comfy and warm living room and dining area and a stunning view as promised. We stepped through the gate onto the grasslands and wandered the hilltops before dinner. What a beautiful setting, we couldn't have asked for more.

We just spent three wonderful nights at The Crossing. Our room was spotless, the bed and sheets were the most comfortable (I even asked where she bought the sheets) and the view spectacular. After hiking we would sit on the balcony and have a drink and just enjoy the sights and sounds. On our balcony there was a gate so we could let our dog roam free - on the property as well too but we were watchful where she went. The room had a small kitchenette and we had access to a BBQ so we cooked each night. Neil advised us ahead of time to bring groceries and I was glad we did. There is a grocery store that seemed well stocked but it is closed on Sundays and some items are very expensive - while others are reasonable. Susan told us we could hike the national park from their lot but we drove to various spots for the day. I really enjoyed getting up early with our dog and going outside while everyone was still sleeping, it was very peaceful. Susan and Neil are very friendly and helpful offering all sorts of tips on what to see and do and yet they are very respectful of your privacy. I think we will return next year to do more hikes and to enjoy their little piece of paradise.

This is the perfect place for social distancing. It is tucked between Val Marie and Grasslands National Park. It has a lovely deck which gives an awesome view of the dark open skies and is just the best place to relax. The hosts were very gracious and gave us a lot of information on how to make the most out of our visit.

Amazing place to stay! Highly recommend. Clean suites, very friendly hosts who gave us a ton of information beforehand and some tips while there. Stunning area with quick and easy access to the park. I can't say enough good things about The Crossing and Neil and Susan.

This is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Grasslands National Park but aren't keen on camping. It's very close to the park, and plays host to the same wildlife (grouse, antelope, etc). The suites are clean, modern, and thoughtfully furnished, with beautiful views of the park from the sitting area on the balcony. I especially appreciated the small library of books about the area, and actually read two of them during our stay! Neil and Susan are wonderful hosts who provided helpful information both before and during our stay. I can't recommend this place highly enough! We would definitely stay here again.

There is no other place I would stay if we come back again someday. We were there in September which is a beautiful time to visit the park. The Crossing is so quiet and the view from our deck was the Grasslands National Park and closer to the suite was a pond and an old barn. An amazing willow tree which is the essence of the property clings to the bank of the pond. The only way I can describe it is 'peaceful'. (except when the coyotes started howling in the evening) The coyotes singing and the expanse of stars at night just added to the feeling of remoteness in the area. The suite has a lovely little balcony to relax on after a day of hiking. We also enjoyed it for our morning coffee as it faced east. Everything was very clean with good quality bedding and a well supplied kitchen. The labyrinth on the property is another amazing feature to check out. Whether you are into a meditative walk or just like to see unique imagery and patterns it is worth going to see this serene spot on the property. The Crossing is easy to get to and only 6 km to the nearest town for supplies. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer and were glad to answers all of our questions and give us some advice about the area. We really appreciated our stay.
