The Citadel Apartments

Bed bugs are annoying. I moved in this apartment in Jan and that was the time I saw bed bugs. We called for a insect company. Now I met bed bugs again! I agree with Mike Cullen mostly. I am moving out.

Elevators keeps breaking, and if it happens on Friday evening good luck until Monday. The management won't spend the extra money to bring someone in to fix them during the weekend but they will increase your rent after the first year.

Very rude stuff especially the grandma at 169. The maintenance staffs are the best they’ve got here. Great building condition, but just bad management team. If you want to have nice apartment, and able to be treated like criminals when paying rent, choose 169/171 Lees.

I had a very bad living experience when I lived there. There are few things that I want to say. First of all, you will hear constant renovation noisy every day 7:00 AM in the morning or lunch break in the afternoon and they do not give a f*ck whether you are asleep or not. I work late some times and have to finish my school work, and I complained about the noisy. The manager said to me, it is legal by law and go check it. I got sleep deprivation when I lived there. Second, the employees there have zero customer service. If they dislike you, they are going to give you a hard time. My gut tells me that they start drilling 7:00 am the morning intentionally. Normal people would not do that and only sick people or people have mental problems. Because they think that they are working and all the people living in this building should be awake. Third, privacy is a big concern. There must be video surveillance inside of your unit , and they are monitoring you all the times. If you want your privacy, then choose a different property to live. A property that appreciate your business and hear your voice. They will lie to you they have no units available but in fact they do have. They just want to send a false message that this building is very demanding and come and rent the place quickly. I do not recommend living in 171 and 169 Lees Avenue ( same company) , and please choose Paramount Apartments, Minto, Homestead, CLV Group, Sleepwell management.

This place is the worst. The elevator hasn't been working for almost a year now! The other two elevators are dirty and has dog piss everywhere. The management are horrible people including Rebecca. She is rude and needs to learn what customer service is. She probably going through menopause. There's no security, cars keep getting broken into. The "security company" is only here to enforce parking and not safety. DONT RENT HERE.

Staff are nice when you're nice to them, building is reasonably well maintained & quiet. The hot tub is not especially well maintained though, & the exercise room is kinda sad (& doesn't have AC). Overall it's a nice building with very few amenities around it. Keep in mind if you're looking to move here that you're going to need to travel a bit to get to groceries

Do yourself a favour and do not rent here anytime soon. They are doing renovations daily and there is constantly excessive noise as a result. Never had an issue with the staff and the price Is fair but give it some time before considering this building. I move out next week and couldn’t be happier.

Cockroaches. Constant, loud, wall shaking renovations with no warning at all that typically start at 6am. Bed bug infestations happen frequently as well, you WILL be forced to undergo a fumigation process even if there are no bedbugs in your apartment. Security is at risk, highly doubt any of the security cameras are working at all and you'll find homeless people lounging in lobby occasionally. Elevators have no security cameras and hardly work.
