190 Lees Avenue - Apartments for Rent

I do not recommend this building because they only want you pay your rent and you should not expect any service. My bedroom is under construction due to leaking water from ceiling for one month. contractors has opened the wall and removed the insulation to let it dry. The room is not usable the rest of the apartment is too cold, who cares?

Please do not come to this building. The management is really rude. The perks of living in this building include: Water shutdown twice in a month for many hours. They will entertain you with false and really loud false alarms even at 3 am. If some thing malfunctions in your apartment, it is at your own risk. They will not entertain your maintenance request for months.

Renting from Cogir has the potential to turn into your worst nightmare!!! They promised me a fully renovated unit at 190 Lees, but when I went to visit the unit a couple of days before my move-in date, I realized that a big portion of the unit was not even close to being renovated. The worst part is nobody from Cogir reached out to me in advance about this, presumably in the hope that I'd be in a crunch near my move-in date and be forced to move in anyways. They were not in anyways responsive or cooperative enough to fix the issue, hence the only option for me was canceling my move-in and contract (without any of the financial damages getting reimbursed by them). Long story short, here are the key takeaways for you: 1- Try your best to avoid renting from Cogir. Seriously! There are so many other property managers in Ottawa. I learned this the hard way. 2- In case you end up renting a unit from them, don't trust them that much. What amazes me is that in an Era where all textbook accounts point to the importance of concepts like business ethics and word-of-mouth, there still exist companies like Cogir who use 'Deception' as a sales tactic. In my case, they didn't even care about the financial damages coming from their unethical conduct and breach of agreement to me. So, Be careful! This can happen to you too. 3- If you come across this leasing agent in your viewing, you better turn your back and walk away: Nicola Di Lillo, aka Nic(k?). Or simply ask for someone else! Best of luck to all of you who are looking to rent a place! P.S. If anyone from Cogir is reading this, I would appreciate that instead of preparing a make-believe graceful response, you ask your colleagues to at least have the decency to return my rent deposit sooner.

THE worst apartment. I have moved in here for three months and there is construction noise almost every. Frequently water cut off (3-4 times per month). Sometimes multiple elevators are put in service so that you have to wait 10 minutes for one ride and share the elevator with a lot of people. The office just wants to have more lease but does not care about the living quality. DON’T COME.

We moved in here 2014 with no problems until Cogir took over management of the building. I wish it was only the construction or fire alarm but complaints for the most part take for ever to be addressed or not addressed at all. I guess the actual owners have no idea on how their property is being managed.The office staff has no say in how things get addressed,it’s all controlled by Cogir in PQ.All this interior work that is going to be done is like putting makeup on a pig,it’s still a pig.Noisy tenants above until 3am and complaints made on that useless online app gets nowhere.DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!

Area is good, with good views. It would be better after the 200 lees finish their constructions. Also, the office staffs are very nice. They helped me on a lot of problems, especially Meilan, she is always patient to everyone who wants to find her.

This is only one month that I am here. Although the unit is renovated there are too many tiny worms all around the home. They are certainly from previous tenant. I called office but they arranged pest control after one week. I called Cogir and asked them to change my unit. This unit is inhabitable. I have allergic reaction and these pests put me in danger. No one cares here what happens to tenants.

I moved to 190 Lees in January 2022; when I signed the contract, I was told that I would have an underground parking spot, but believe it or not, it's been more than five months that I am still waiting for that (with several in-person follow-ups). The property manager cannot even provide us with one additional key fob for my partner (we only received one key fob), and they told me to use the buzzer instead, which has been broken for more than a month (picture attached). After several follow-ups with the building office, I am truly tired of their rude and unprofessional behaviour.
