About The Canadian Brewhouse (Edmonton International Airport)

2002

An Edmonton boys' dream turned reality. Roger Newton purchased an old pool hall in the west end of Edmonton, with a clear vision of what was missing from the city of champions. There were Irish Bars, English Pubs, and even Belgian Cafes, but there was nothing that truly honoured the rich heritage of Canada. Combine that with his love of Sports, Roger opened the first ever Canadiana Sports Bar in West Edmonton, The Canadian Brewhouse. This location has since closed, but it was the start of a service industry giant.

Brittany H is a phenomenal server! From the second we walked in she was so welcoming and knowledgeable. Our drinks came out super quick and the food was on point! Will definitely be back soon and hope to have Brittany serving us again because she was so much fun to have!

I arrived late like 8-ish in the evening and came across to this bar that also offered a real food. I would never thought this bar could offer a tasty chowmein topped with sauteed vegetables. Good customer service. Staffs make sure tables are well cleaned and sanitized after each customer. However I took away a star, because I was given a cutlery with a food residue (Glad I used chopsticks that time ). Overall, I would still recommend the place if you like a quick drink or grab something to eat while waiting for a flight.

Staff was nice and friendly, The food however sucked. Nachos for two was $20 + $10 for extra cheese … the portion was small, the cheese was dry …. The Pizza was definitely frozen and put into the oven, definitely not made fresh… not worth the price for both items… The only meal we enjoyed was the brisket poutine… definitely don’t waste your money , the renaissance hotel restaurant which is attached to the airport had better food and was worth the price ! :)

Excellent meal at 0430 hours after getting past security. Offscreen is a healthy amount of syrup (unconfirmed if it’s maple) - you basically douse the egg, chicken, waffles with the syrup then eat it up. Chicken was very well cooked and moist. The breading could use additional flavouring, the syrup could be higher quality. Staff are super friendly and attentive, meal is served within 20 minutes of order, so you should factor that into your planning. Food quality: as expected at any pub style / sports bar menu. Price: A bit higher than expected but on par given it’s at an airport and past security. Would go again if it’s the only option that’s open, otherwise would try the Mexican place or the Italian cafe!

Is it the best food around, nah, is it the best food in the airport, also no - but does it hit the spot when that is what you are craving, yep. Staff were friendly and attentive - and it was a surprisingly good value! They opened at a tough time so I am wishing them well!

Lovely service, speedy and tasty in the hour before a trip. Daija was very helpful accommodating my celiac disease, would definitely visit again when next in need of a pre-flight meal. Especially appreciated not being asked constantly about how good the food was, which let me get my work done! Tuna bowl was delicious. 10/10.

Heading out for a wee weekend getaway, and as it was smooth sailing through check-in and security we had loads of time for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Stopped in the the new Brewhouse location at the airport, and Connor took care of us. He was a beyond excellent bartender, and one might say, great craΓc! Thanks so much for looking after us!

This is a go-to place if you are looking at a grab a quick lunch or dinner before you fly out. It has great service, friendly and attentive staff, clean facilities, and good food. They are also great at adding a little seasonal touch to their dishes per the holiday - both in the restaurant and with the dishes.
