From our humble origins as breakfast experts – to today’s menu with dozens of modern dishes for any time of the day, Ricky’s is a place where everyone feels at home.
Ricky’s opened its doors in Vancouver in 1962 as Ricky’s Pancake House, famous for buttermilk pancakes, value breakfast specials, and the very best service. Ricky’s expanded in the 1980s to include full lunch and dinner. As well, in 2014, Ricky’s acquired ABC Country Restaurants, a chain that had delivered great country fare for over 40 years. This merge brought together two great brands, both with a rich history of delivering exceptional food and service to Canadian families.
In 2017, the Ricky’s brand further expanded with the launch of Ricky’s Café, a new contemporary café concept with an express burger and sandwich bar and gourmet home meal takeout service. All while still serving the famous breakfasts and high quality lunch and dinner items Ricky’s is known for.
With ongoing expansion, including new locations opening in Alberta and BC, Ricky’s has 85+ locations across Canada to serve you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in with parents for a meal, expecting decent food... Unfortunately, service was slow, our table was only able to get two of the three teas we had ordered due to having run out of tea pots (third one came ten minutes later) and one of the initial teas had lukewarm water, thereby making it difficult to properly steep the green tea I had ordered...
My mother happens to have two peculiar allergies, and instead of working with her to provide an awesome meal, she was served a rather lackluster salad that barely had anything to it - there was no confirmation from the kitchen that they could provide her with something that would work for her soy and sulphide allergy.
My meat lover's brekkie bowl showed signs of having sat on the hot plate for way too long, with soggy and lukewarm hashbrowns, meat that was lukewarm, and worst of all, the toast with it was so cold that the butter hadn't properly melted across half of the slices! (it wasn't even melted in those parts)
Wait staff seemed overworked due to packed front of house, as we only saw our waitress for our initial drink order, food order, food delivery, and at the end for the bill - no checkup on how the meal was or how we were enjoying our food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very accommodating manager with excellent pandemic protocol. She welcomed us warmly to the restaurant and was very sweet to my little girls. Food and coffee tasted good, arrived promptly. I love Ricky’s breakfast and this was what I’ve come to expect!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was very pleasant , nice layout in design . Very tasty soups , breakfast was missing sausages . Lol , Bacon made up for it , and no Gluten free bread Eggs , Bacon , a half order of shredded Hash Browns . I was good to go .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food wasn’t bad to be honest but the smell of our table was disgusting also dishes were dirty so we didn’t really enjoy eating there! the servers were so rude literally no one is smiling!! except Lydia she was really nice “she wasn’t our server but she came to help”
I wish I read the reviews before going there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I went for lunch this past Sunday; it was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had in Edmonton. Our server forgot part of our order but still charged us for it, and even though we both ordered items from the special spring menu, we weren't given the discounted prices indicated. The food was only mediocre at best. I ordered a pop and our server forgot what kind I was drinking when I flagged her down for a refill. Even though there was only one other table in the restaurant at the time, the service was slow. Our server suddenly disappeared and her replacement was really rude to us. I had to get his attention to come to our table and when he asked us if we were done, he barely waited for us to respond before grabbing our dishes and walking away. We were going to order dessert but he didn't even ask us if we wanted anything else. All-in-all, it was a really bad experience and I would not recommend eating here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my husband came for a quick bite and saw they have happy hour from 3pm to 6pm and we are amazed at their Chicken tenders!!! Homemade style and so good, and the poutine was awesome!! I had their soup of the day and it was chicken soup. That was pretty amazing as well. We didn't expect to have such amazing quality food for such a great price! Definitely coming back. ?
