Food was good but the portions were a bit small. Had a nice window seat overlooking the water

Had a wonderful lunch hosted here for our work year end party. The staff were excellent, food was delicious (amazingly crispy fries) they accommodated those with allergies and made us all feel welcome. Thank you all for a perfect afternoon.

Location: The New Westminster Boathouse location has a nice view of the river from the wooden pier. The restaurant interior is not as modern as other locations but is still nice. Service: during weekend brunch the hostest gave us a 25 minute eta to be seated. The restaurant was not busy at all with virtually all of the tables inside empty and only a few on the patio occupied. When queried the hostess explained the waitresses were overwhelmed at the moment despite being able to see a few of them standing to the side socially chatting with each other. This must be a management issue as I haven't seen very many restaurants turn people away while being at such a low capacity. Once seated our waitress was awesome and provided perfect service. Food: my date and I both ordered eggs benedict. The bill came to $60. The English muffins while not stale, were definitely not fresh. They were also inconsistently toasted provided a much more moist spongy consistency than standard. The servings were very skimpy on the meat and hollandaise sauce (see pics). When biting into the shrimp/crab Benny, it was very watery and bland (not sure if the shrimps were previously frozen and thawed incorrectly). I have had lots of eggs benedicts in my life but this one was definitely low on the list. Summary: because of the poor food quality and high prices, I would not recommend the boathouse and instead stick with one of the other tried and tested brunch spots in New Westminster such as Hub restaurant or Dutch Corner. (Hubs Restaurant's eggs benedict managed to be much tastier at a lower price point)

Came to the boathouse for brunch on a Sunday. There was plenty of seating outside, and barely anyone inside, yet we still had to wait 25 min to be seated as they did not have enough servers. Once seated we had a nice view of the river. We ordered the trio eggs benedict. I usually live eggs benedict, but this one was very sad looking. The smoked salmon piece was so small you could barely see it. Mostly just tastes like stale bread with an egg on top. They didn't add very much hollandaise sauce. Overall all the eggs benedicts were not flavourful. I was not impressed with the food and I don't think I'll come back for brunch.

It was a pleasant evening at the Boat house. The Appetizers were really really nice, although my main (fish) quite overcooked and almost chciken like. The server was excellent and the staff overall was really pleasant too. The complimentary cake for my friend's birthday was very sweet of them.

Bigger inside than it looks on the outside! Nice view and great service. Our waiter was very friendly. The food was great. I especially love the crab ravioli and highly recommend it. It's delicious, I ate everything off my plate. I suggest getting some bread to dredge the remaining sauce with. The mocha pie was ok, a bit on the icy side and not as creamy as I expected it to be but not bad. The appies were good-- chili prawns especially.

I haven't been to any Boathouse for years since the last time I did not get very good experience with the food in Richmond's one. This time, the food is very good. Love the Nacho crab dip. The kids like it very much. My Lobster Ravioli was awesome. The only downside was the waiting. They took quite a while, I think more than 30 mins before the appetizers came. And a big time gap before the main came also. It was a busy time, I understand. But still it could be better.

Our family went to this place for dinner. Unfortunately the service was very slow, took about 15 minutes for a server to initially get the drink order, then another 45 minutes for the food. However it’s most likely because of shortage of workers. The food was decent. It was fresh with good flavours. The seafood chowder was a bit too bland and watery. The COD, ravioli and chicken/ shrimp bowl tasted very good.
