β β β β β Shopped in the store, but didnt have what I needed. Went next door to drag a quick coffee to go. Lunatic working there followed me down the block and into the coffee place demanding I move my car from their lot. Harassed me made a scene. Daid I didnt buy anything!?!?!! Unbelievable. Stay away from this place. No customer service in store either. Deserve ZERO stars!!

I said ok and immediately take my car but he started to say my different bad words such as f-k and my family
He even treated me to punching in my face for no reason after he saw I record him he start to talk in his own language

β β β β β This is a neighborhood Chinese market selling canned goods to fresh vegetables. Chinese newspapers is cheaper here than buying at gas station up the street. Vegetables are OK quality. Parking is available but with a limited parking spaces. Street parking is also available.

β β β β β rude staff, DO NOT EVER GO THERE. Scary man chasing after you and started yelling bitxh or fxck...etc. really felt threatened by the crazy old Asian man. All the anger came from us parking in front of his market and he thought we were going to the restaurant cross the street. I tried to apologize and calm him down but apparently this guy has anger control issue.... STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

β β β β β If they don't want people parking there. Just ask for any recipient have been purchased at their store and allows 5 minutes park. That's will make people happy visit ur store again. Not chasing people out.
I have been shopping there sometime. Now I do pickup some food next stores. And the man chasing out people.

β β β β β Donβt EVER shop here. The two women who are the main cashiers are RACIST. There is an older Chinese lady that is super nice that is a cashier but the other ones are so RUDE and so RACIST. Gave me a dirty look too when I told her to have a good day and the Chinese lady behind me she greeted so nicely and a big smile on her face. Donβt give these people your money. Worst place to shop in all of Vancouver if your not Chinese. I am against racist people and I treat every race with kindness and equality and these people sure made me feel like I didnβt belong. They should be fired. I might contact the news over this company because this isnβt the first time these two specific ladies treated me and another white person like this.

β β β β β Full disclosure, I'm not rating this market against Wholefoods or even 88 Market (which is a much bigger ethnic grocer), but rather against other similarly independent and small ethnic grocers and food markets. For a local, independent ethnic food market, this place is awesome. The market is brightly lit and has a wide selection of Southeast Asian and (strangely) Mexican produce, condiments and specialty foods, which are normally hard to find. Their produce is fresh, local and of good quality and the prices are reasonable. Definitely cheaper than Save-On but not cheaper than some other ethnic grocers on Victoria Drive which probably, second only to Chinatown, is a neighbourhood that is known to have some of the lowest priced produce in town. But I have been to the other cheaper grocers on that street, and the produce quality and cleanliness of Teng's market are superior. I don't think the butcher is up to my standards though, so I don't buy meat there.
Many seemed to have rated the market poorly on account of the aggressiveness of the owner's policy on parking. I have not personally experienced this because I only park there when I'm heading to the market.
