This is by far the best cabin in bc!! Warren and Rochelle have gone above and beyond making this place what it is. Everything from the 5 star views from your hot tub, to the beautiful had crafted wood everywhere to the amazing trail guide dog that leads you through mesmerizing man made private trails. Breath taking and blown away!!! We will be booking again for next year but this time for longer because 3 days was just not long enough!!! Thank you again for the most amazing 3 days!!!

Fantastic Getaway! We had a truly amazing weekend - the log cabin is beautiful, the setting spectacular, and the host, Warren, exceptional. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Right from our arrival, our visit was an adventure. With the access road too snowy for our car, we rode the last kilometer on the back of Warren's quad-on-tracks and were welcomed by the cabin's warm and cheery lights as dusk fell. Inside, we found beautiful, cozy dΓ©cor with everything needed for a comfortable stay. And making the cabin completely unique were the many gorgeous works of art crafted by Warren from wildwood. The views from the cabin are incredible and many trails wind through the surrounding forest. Warren was very helpful in explaining the options and we enjoyed some snowshoeing guided by our new best friend, Warren's lovely and energetic dog Tally--completing the last part by sled, down a short run cleared by Warren, My engineer husband thoroughly enjoyed a tour of Warren's home-built micro hydro-electric setup on the aptly-named Swift Creek, which provides all power to the cabin - and I was equally delighted to be shown around Warren's gallery of salvaged wildwood. After a busy day, nothing could have been better than relaxing in the hot tub and barbequing on the deck while a stunning sunset played out over the snowy peaks of the Tantalus range. We still can't quite believe such a wonderful, remote cabin exists so close to Vancouver. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to return. Thanks for your fantastic hospitality, Warren and Tally!

This place was so amazing with unbelievable nature view including the mountains, trails and a beautiful hand crafted piece made by Warren . This a place that you can relax and enjoy the hot tub while doing stargazing at night. Rochelle and Warren was a great owner who will welcome you warmly and give you privacy while you stayed on the cabin. All house utensils is complete, you just need to bring your foods, drinks and enjoy your stay. We also thankful to Warren and Rochelle who allowed us to borrowed "tally" their guard dog who helped us to do our trail and accompany us while we stayed. We highly recommend this place to people who wanted to get out in the city life for a while and enjoy nature.

We had three wonderful days in the cabin. We were lazy, reading and enjoying the hot tub and the fabulous view. My wife was a little more active, doing online dance classes on the deck and enjoying walking in the forest. Warren gave us loads of information and all the privacy we wanted. He was attentive yet not intrusive. The cabin was warm and cozy, and the kitchen and bathroom entirely adequate. If you’re wanting a place to unwind, I could not recommend a better one. Warren was the embodiment of kindness and consideration. I called him in advance of our arrival to say that I had difficulty walking up slopes. Before our arrival, he built a handrail all along the trail through the woods. When we left, he shovelled the stairs to be free of snow and helped me down, step-by-step, back to the car. Book this place while you can, it’s not to be missed.

Absolutely breathtaking experience! So relaxing and comfortable. Warren has thought of everything, and he makes sure everything is just right for your stay. It's a very special retreat, and a great gift to give yourself in these crazy times. We all want our normal back, and to use this place as a mental "reset" button, and that's absolutely what we got. It gave us the ability to just remember what life is all about. Thank you so much Warren &Tally! We hope to come back 3-4 times a year! Shannon & Troy ?

Beautiful, serene setting with incredible views and a truly considerate host who is genuinely excited to share his piece of paradise. Even though we were snowed in for our stay, we were transported to the cabin via ATV and able to explore the surrounding area on snowshoe as well as enjoy the hot tub overlooking Tantalus and Alpha Mountain peaks.

My partner and I had an amazing time at the chalet, and Warren was an excellent host! We arrived and departed during the snowiest period in five years, requiring assistance on the way in and out of the retreat (up to 50 cm). Warren worked diligently to ensure our trip started and ended well, getting our vehicle unstuck on the first day and shovelling out and boosting it on the last day. Stepping into the chalet and retreat was dreamlike, a feeling that was intensified by beautiful evergreen trees and fresh snow. The chalet was inviting and cozy with beautiful woodwork by Warren, ambient light and furnace. The kitchen had all the necessities, and bbq provided greater versatility for meal prep (frying pens were especially great for making breakfast and reheating food). During our stay we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and star gazing, snowshoeing, snow shovelling (by our choice), and other unique moments we treasure. Seeing the sunrise over the mountains was breathtaking! Warren was very informative and we learned quite a bit from him about living off the grid. As a result, we further appreciated the retreat and admire Warren for his ingenuity and hard work. Tally, the snow-loving retreat guardian, was lots of fun and kept us company around the chalet and on the snowy paths. While Warren and Tally were on hand, we had full privacy throughout the trip. We’re planning to book the chalet during a springtime to further explore the nearby hiking trails. If you enjoy being in the nature, disconnecting from everyday noise and trying out comfortable off-grid living, you will enjoy the retreat.

We came across this gem of a retreat from a BCAA posting which listed it as one of BC's best winter getaway destinations. We booked a 3 night stay in early March - the weather was perfect, and the retreat exceeded our expectations. Definitely for those wanting an off-the-grid experience with all the creature comforts... wrap around deck, hot tub, full kitchen and comfy bed. The views were spectacular! A highlight was Tally the resort dog who kept us entertained and was our attentive guide dog along the black diamond waterfall trail on the property (hiking shoes a must!). All in all, a spectacular way to experience "Beautiful BC"
